Made pleasing debut and offered plenty of promise when fourth at Wolverhampton (5; standard) earlier in the month. Should be firmly on the premises in a race which appears to be of a similar strength on paper.

Well-backed (11/8f) but could only finish third on debut at Lingfield (5f; standard to slow). Should be much straighter for the experience this time and yard going well at the moment so must be afforded maximum respect.

Failed to build on promising debut behind Mighty Gurkha when only sixth at Wolverhampton (6f; standard) when he carted his way to the front after just a furlong. Worth another chance as he drops in trip on turf debut.

Heeraat colt who cost a mere £800 as a yearling. Stable have gone 210 days since their last winner (20 runners in that time), and unlikely to change that with a newcomer. Makes minimal appeal on paper.

€6,000 yearling by Prince Of Lir who has already sired a two-year-old Group winner in first season as a sire. Should have a future but yard aren't renowned for producing debut winners. Market check advised.

Always towards the rear of the field when tailed-off on debut at Wolverhampton (6f; standard) recently. Drops back to 5f for the first time and is impossible to fancy on debut for yard who are without a winner on the level for 111 days.
By Dragon Pulse. Made £6,000 as a yearling. Definitely one to note but given her pedigree she is likely to be seen to best effect once stepped up in trip to middle-distances.

Didn't take much of a step forward at all when fifth of six at Wolverhampton (5f; standard) when making first start on the AW/over this trip. Remains best watched for the time being until offering more encouragement.

Posted low-key debut effort in what looked a moderate affair at Chelmsford (5f; standard) earlier in the month. Yard are 0-34 over the last couple of weeks too so she doesn't have masses going for her.

17:40 Bath - 25 June 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Despite not making the 1-2-3, Black Sparrow is still fancied to be bang there at the finish after showing up well on debut when third to a Mark Johnston runner who had the benefit of experience. Gordonstoun was evidently thought capable of more when only third at Lingfield, but should be capable of more now. His jockey eased off him in the dying strides when the race had been decided, and Charlie Fellowes should benefit considerably from that decision after staying on to grab fourth on debut. However, preference is for HOT SCOOP who was keen when taken on for the lead last time but is worth another chance on the form he showed when second to Mighty Gurkha.
  1. Hot Scoop
  2. Charlie Fellowes
  3. Gordonstoun
