Aione36
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: D E Mullins| T: W P Mullins
11/4
Absent after winning a Dromahane point-to-point in May 2017 until scoring on bumper debut at Punchestown in late November. Impressed with how he put that to bed, and looks a good prospect for hurdles.

Column Of Fire25
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott
5/2
Yet to finish out of the frame when completing, and better effort over hurdles this term when second of 25 to Longhouse Poet in a maiden at Navan last time. Sets the standard, but could be vulnerable to progressive rivals.
3
Horse silk
66/1
Not disgraced on racecourse and hurdles debut at Galway in October, but a long way below that form at Naas next time, and makes limited appeal even on his debut form.
4

Ego Des Mottes66
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: M P Walsh| T: W P Mullins| BF
25/1
Placed on his first two starts over hurdles on joining this yard from Guy Cherel, and reverts to timber after a disappointing sixth behind Castlebrook in a maiden chase at Wexford last time. Best watched, for all he ought to win races in time.
5
Horse silk
40/1
Fetched £95,000 after a point-to-point win last year, but looked in need of the experience when down the field on hurdles bow at Down Royal, and looks one for the longer term.
6
Horse silk
66/1
By Anzillero out of a half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Quaska d'Airy. Riding arrangements suggests he's the least likely of a trio from the yard, and passed over unless attracting support.

Horse silk
Haggard Ladt1255
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: C D Maxwell| T: Mrs G Callaghan
100/1
Pulled up on his only start in point-to-points, and this Morozov gelding gets a tongue tie fitted for his hurdles debut. Makes no appeal.
Has quite an attractive pedigree, but this son of Jeremy was sent off 100/1, and finished well held in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown on debut.
9
Horse silk
10/1
Disappointing in light of bumper promise when well held on his first two starts over hurdles, but improved when 3¼ lengths third of 14 to Run Wild Fred in a maiden hurdle at Navan last time. Place claims if building on that.
10
Horse silk
Mandamus135
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: Ms H Mooney(7)| T: D P Dunne
100/1
Showed a bit when last tried over hurdles, but recent Flat form has been regressive (last on both starts for Ann Mooney), and he's easy enough to oppose starting out for a new yard.
11
Horse silk
Rebel Goldt132
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: P D Kennedy| T: T Foley
100/1
Tailed off on both starts in bumpers, and hard to fancy sent hurdling despite the presence of a first-time tongue tie.
12
Horse silk
100/1
Has merely hinted at ability in two starts in bumpers in this headgear, and took a backward step when tried in a tongue-tie last time. That aid left off now tackling obstacles for the first time.
13
Horse silk
Western Fancy18
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: E Walsh(7)| T: N Meade
20/1
Dam wasn't a bad sort over jumps, and possible that this so of Presenting found 2m7f too much of a test here on hurdles debut, but offered little all the same, and remains easy to swerve.
14
Horse silk
Zenon36
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: M P Fogarty| T: W P Mullins
33/1
Useful Flat performer in 2017 for John Gosden and made a respectable start over hurdles at Down Royal when fifth to Envoi Allen. Failed badly to build on that last time, though, and may be seen to better effect when qualified for handicaps.
15
Horse silk
100/1
Oscar gelding from a fair jumping family. Former leading trainer looking for first winner since renewing his licence, and this gelding is likely to need this initial experience.
16
Horse silk
3/1
Won both his bumpers in the summer, and finished a highly creditable second of 24 to Tiger Tap Tap in a maiden at Naas on his hurdling debut last month after a break. Sure to improve on that, and shortlisted.
17
Horse silk
Joshua Webb17
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: S W Flanagan| T: N Meade
5/1
Improved markedly on debut run when winning a bumper in November, and almost repeated that feat over hurdles, beaten narrowly when second of 14 to Run Wild Fred in a maiden at Navan last time. Better to come, and one to bear in mind.
18
Horse silk
66/1
Better effort to date when ninth of 21 to Yukon Lil in mares maiden at Naas last time. Would need to step up markedly on that form to play a part here.
19
Horse silk
Two Shoe Tom291
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: K C Sexton| T: Peter Fahey
20/1
Best effort in bumpers last season when 10L second of 11 to Barrington Court in a Listed contest at Navan, but not seen since running badly at Down Royal in March, and questions to answer on return/first try hurdling.

AIONE has clearly been hard to train, but Willie Mullins excels with similar sorts, and he looked a good prospect when landing a Punchestown bumper in November. He looks a bright prospect, and can get the better of form pick Column of Fire. Home By The Lee shaped well on his debut over obstacles, and this dual bumper winner is also on the shortlist.
  1. Aione
  2. Home By The Lee
  3. Column Of Fire
