DEFIANCE shaped notably well from a less-than-ideal position on his belated comeback at Epsom and gets the nod to build on that run and record a first success since his debut. Castle Cove is unproven on quicker ground but impressed when making a successful return/handicap debut at Chester and is open to further improvement, while Jolly Jack Tar remains unexposed after just 4 starts and should have no problem with the switch to turf based on his pedigree.
