Gained his breakthrough success with a career best at C&D in April, going with enthusiasm. Met with barely adequate test at Wincanton on return and better can be expected going back up in trip.

Maiden hurdle winner here in April 2024 and though he didn't really kick on in handicaps, he's a made an encouraging start over fences, still in touch when falling late at Bangor chase debut and confirming that promise when fourth at Uttoxeter last time. Type to go on improving.

Bettered previous hurdle form when runner-up at Fontwell (21.8f, soft) on sole start last season. Very strong in the betting (sent off 10/11) returning from a year off at Lingfield last time but never looked comfortable and pulled up. Clearly thought capable of better sent chasing in blinkers.

Well held in novice/maiden hurdles but different model sent chasing with a tongue strap added, following up a Lingfield victory with minimum fuss at Leicester in February. Very disappointing display on return at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago, though, so cheekpieces are now applied.

Winless for a while but rallied late to secure a place at Fontwell in October. Seemed to excel himself from 9 lb out of the weights when a close sixth of 10 in handicap chase at this C&D (soft) 25 days ago so respected back down in class.

Placed first 2 starts in handicap hurdles and built on those efforts when landing a Stratford seller (19f, good to soft) in October. Backed that up with a solid third at Lingfield last month but still looks a shade high in the weights now sent chasing.

Placed once from 3 starts in bumpers but little impact in novice/maiden hurdles. Offered more than on chase debut when a plugging-on third at Market Rasen (21.4f, good to soft, 20/1) 22 days ago. May prove better off over further.

No better than poor form over hurdles for Seamus Mullins and fared no better returning from 8 months off for new yard at Chepstow last time. Hard to fancy sent chasing.

No promise over hurdles, so needs to prove entirely different proposition on chase debut on return.

SAINT CYR DE PAIL has made an encouraging start to his chasing career and is fancied to build on his recent Uttoxeter fourth. Valirann Gold emerged with credit in the face of a stiff task here last month and is also shortlisted dropped back into more realistic company, with Rangatira Jack another to consider going back up in trip.
