Won 3 times last season, including at Ludlow in March. Excellent second at Huntingdon on return, coming clear with a progressive sort. Big shout with a repeat.

Three-time chase winner for the Pogsons last season but made a very low-key start for this yard when last seen in early summer. It's likely best to look elsewhere.

Fairly useful ex-French hurdler and there were plenty of positives to glean from his stable debut fourth in a 15-runner Worcester novice hurdle. Looked an interesting chasing debutant but proved a let-down at Warwick 6 weeks ago.

Three-time winner in small field chases last season and in process of running well after 6 months off prior to falling 2 out at Uttoxeter. Just respectable fourth of 5 back there since, finding little on heavy ground.

Yet to score over fences but he proved largely consistent upon joining present stable earlier this year, decent second at Ludlow on return. Respected.

Positive start to his chase career in recent months, building on Newton Abbot second when going one place better at Wincanton. Can likely progress again so considered.

Improved performer switched to fences this season, winning on debut in this sphere at Chepstow (2m) in October. Disappointed at Wetherby but probably would have bounced back with a win but for falling heavily 2 out here 23 days ago. Player if over that.

Hasn't won since 2023 but went close on final start for Stuart Crawford (sold for £36,000) at Perth in May. However, well held both starts for this yard so plenty to prove back over fences.

Took well to fences last winter, making all over 2m at Warwick and Hereford. Added to that with another all-the-way success back from a break at Wincanton in March but well held since, including both starts this season. Change of headgear.

HOMME D'UN SOIR ran a fine race when second at Huntingdon on return, finishing clear of the rest behind a younger rival, and the handicapper hasn't overreacted raising him 3 lb. Lightning Flash and Authoceltic have both improved for the switch to fences this season and are feared most.
