Off the mark at third attempt in points and built on encouraging Rules debut when landing a 6-runner Lingfield maiden hurdle (19.5f, good) last month. That form looks decent and he should have more to offer.

Well held in bumpers in 2024 and pulled up on hurdles debut following 11 months off at Chepstow. Now tried in blinkers.

Some useful form to his name on the Flat for Charlie Johnston in 2023. Absent since August of that year (gelded since), but it will be interesting to see which way he goes in the betting on this debut over hurdles and for the in-form Joe Tizzard stable.

Half-brother to fairly useful 2m hurdle winner Pleasington and fairly useful hurdler/chaser Findthetime. Won sole start in points last December and while he was disappointing on Rules debut in a Cheltenham maiden hurdle (since undergone a wind op), he's surely capable of better. Tongue strap added.

Fell when clear at the last on sole start in points during the spring, but safely held both starts over hurdles so far and he's probably more one for handicaps in due course.

Runner-up sole start in Irish points before making a winning start under Rules in an Exeter bumper in January 2024. Chased home a smart type at the same course a month later and hurdles debut at Newbury 40 days ago was clearly needed (first run for 21 months). This run should reveal more.

Fetched £60,000 after winning an Irish point and performed to a fair level when mid-field starting out under Rules in a Cheltenham maiden hurdle (16.4f, soft). This switch to a right-handed course will help given tendency to jump/hang right at Cheltenham and stepping up in trip is another plus.

Went close sole start between the flags, but made a disconcerting debut under Rules in a Chepstow bumper in October (tongue strap worn that day now discarded) and opposable now switched to hurdles. Harry Cobden prefers Joyau Allen.

Third sole start in Irish points in April and pulled nicely clear of the rest when finding just one too strong in 2½m Windsor maiden hurdle last month. Bold show on the cards.

Modest form in 2 bumpers last season (trained in Ireland on debut) and didn't offer much on first run in this sphere at Hereford 3 weeks ago.

PIPING ROCK knew his job when runner-up on debut in this sphere at Windsor and he is taken to go one better here. The 4-y-o will probably have most to fear from Gatineau Park, who hit the target at Lingfield last month and is open to progress. Khafre's Rules debut at Cheltenham was certainly not devoid of promise and he is also shortlisted, along with Hold The Serve, who was well held in the same Cheltenham race but should leave that run well behind in time.
