Racing TV 'National Hunt' Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

Sixth of 11 in bumper at Hexham (good to soft) last month but the fact he went off the 2/1 favourite suggests a lot better was anticipated. Wastes no time switching to hurdles. It'll be interesting to see whether his backers are prepared to give him another chance.

Just modest form in bumpers but ran an encouraging second race over hurdles when runner-up in Bangor novice (2m, heavy) 25 days ago, keeping on well considering he refused to settle. Open to improvement.

Unplaced in point but won on Carlisle bumper debut a year ago. Well beaten in a stronger race at Fairyhouse in the spring but retains potential now hurdling for an Irish yard with a very healthy 43% strike-rate at Kelso.

Bumper winner who shaped encouragingly when placed on first 2 hurdle starts (third over 21f here first occasion). Well held in 21f Cheltenham Grade 2 novice last time but this much easier. Tongue tied first time. Hard to beat if coping with the drop in trip.

Modest form at best when fourth on all 3 bumper starts. Hurdle debut.

Didn't show a great deal in maiden points and down the field in a pair of maiden hurdles last month. Looks more one for handicaps.

Backed into 11/4 but folded quickly on Hexham bumper debut in April. Switches to hurdler back from 7 months off.

Ayr bumper winner for Claire O'Connell in March. Shaped well for his new yard when fifth of 13 in similar company at Perth following month but found little when well-held sixth on C&D hurdle debut/return 6 weeks ago. Had wind surgery since. Should be capable of better judged on the bumper ability.

Won a Uttoxeter bumper for Tom Symonds in May which makes last month's Carlisle hurdle debut very disappointing. Can only watch after that.
