Fairly useful on Flat and impressed to win two of his 3 starts over hurdles last season, latterly on handicap debut at Newcastle (16.9f) in February. Not given a hard time having been too free (despite the fitting of a hood) on comeback at Wetherby and no surprise to see him resume progress here.

C&D winner matched best form (following another wind surgery) when landing a weak race on reappearance and bounced back from a lesser effort when third in a 5-runner handicap at Lingfield (19.5f) last time. This looks more competitive back down in trip.

Very promising start to his career when runner-up in valuable Newbury bumper and opened his account over hurdles at Wincanton last December. Best not judged on handicap debut third at Aintree on return (unsuited by omitted flights) and looks well worth another chance off this sort of mark.

Struck in a 2m Ascot novice last November and shaped better than result in a competitive 2m Cheltenham race on handicap debut. Only matched that form at Musselburgh final start but has had a wind op since and may have more to offer on return making just second start in a handicap.

Landed first-leg of a double over this C&D in March but hasn't fired in either start following a break, disappointing in the 4-y-o handicap at Chepstow in October. Remains to be seen if breathing operation/return to this track can spark a return to form.

Free-going sort won a maiden/novice hurdle last season and posted best effort in handicaps when finishing midfield in the Imperial Cup at Sandown (2m). Unable to showcase his hurdling ability on reappearance at Aintree (omitted hurdles) and ought to be much closer to form here.

Landed back-to-back handicaps hurdles at Stratford/Warwick in May and remained in fine form over summer. Unsuited by the increased test of stamina when well beaten on return at Cheltenham (21f, soft) last month but faces no easy task back down in distance.

Sold for just 3,200 gns from Emma Lavelle yard but quickly back on track in cheekpieces for new connections, winning a Newton Abbot chase and travelling well when following up with something to spare over hurdles at Exeter (16.7f). Remains well treated on best form and respected in hat-trick bid.

Strong-travelling mare capitalised on a falling mark when landing a 14-runner Uttoxeter handicap in June and has returned in fine heart, finishing third over 2½m at Southwell last time. Drop back in trip won't inconvenience her but all wins to date have come on good or better ground.

Progressing over hurdles, cosily landing 2m Worcester handicap in September prior to finding one too good at Kempton/Hereford subsequently, shaping as if still ahead of her mark when carting her way to the front last time. Makes plenty of appeal in a race that should be run to suit.

A competitive handicap. GRAECIA shaped as though still ahead of her mark when pulling clear with a well-treated rival at Hereford last month and will appreciate the likely stronger pace in this better company. She's narrowly preferred to lightly raced Don't Mind If I Do and hat-trick seeking Haas Boy, who could both be underestimated by their current marks.
