£120,000 buy after winning sole Irish point last December. Posted an encouraging fourth of 10 in an Ayr bumper back in the spring and also created a good impression when winning 12-runner maiden at Ffos Las (20f) on hurdling debut 32 days ago. Better to come and looks up to defying a penalty.

Placed both outings in bumpers and made a winning start over hurdles in 14-runner maiden at Fontwell (85/40) 22 days ago, not always foot-perfect but well on top at the finish. Sure to progress.

£48,000 purchase from the Irish pointing field after getting off the mark at the third attempt in April. Showed plenty to work on when fifth of 12 in novice hurdle at Carlisle (20f, soft) on NH debut 27 days ago, threatening approaching last but unable to sustain effort. Will surely improve.

Kapgarde gelding who showed promise when runner-up in a Chepstow bumper in March and did the same despite still looking green when third on hurdling debut there (16.1f, soft) 24 days ago. Up in trip and seems sure to do better.

Runner-up on second outing in Irish points. Weakened on Sandown bumper debut but saw things out a lot better when making all at Kelso in February. Ran at least as well in defeat under a penalty back there next time and is one to note now going hurdling. Has had a breathing operation.

Purchased for £120,000 after making a winning point debut last December and shaped well when runner-up in a bumper at Exeter in February, sticking to his task. Good hurdle prospect.

€110,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 29f) Pettifour. Shaped like a stayer when seventh of 24 in a bumper at Punchestown (for Philip Fenton) in the spring, so step up in trip an obvious plus now going hurdling for new yard.

Caused a surprise when winning 7-runner maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter (19.9f, heavy, 28/1) 14 days ago, well positioned in a falsely-run race. Easily opposed in a much warmer affair here.

KALKBRENNER created a good impression when landing a maiden with depth at Ffos Las in late October and with better to come, he looks up to defying a penalty at the first time of asking. Walk Tall impressed with the way he stuck to his task in an Exeter bumper back in February and appeals as a good jumping prospect, while Buddy Holly seems sure to benefit from the longer trip now going hurdling for a new yard.
