Proved a different proposition when making a successful hurdle debut at Newton Abbot (16.8f, good to soft) last month, beating novices from top yards and deserving credit coming from behind in a race that wasn't strongly run. Carries a penalty but there could be better to come.

Ran to a fairly useful level on hurdle bow when 3½ lengths fourth in newcomers race at Auteuil (first and second since contested graded races in France) on sole start for Mlle D. Mele. Since acquired by top owner (also represented by Harry Lowes) and merits plenty of respect on UK/stable debut.

Telescope gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Foxy Act. Dam (h97) 17f-2¾m hurdle winner, also 6f-7.5f winner on Flat. Newcomer is likely one for the longer-term.

€75,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Coniston George. Got off mark in Irish points at second attempt (Apr 2025) and makes plenty of appeal on paper ahead of Rules/hurdle debut.

€22,000 3-y-o, Magneticjim gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdle winner/useful chaser (stayed 3m) Emir Sacree. Off mark in Irish points at second attempt (second and fourth have since shown promise under Rules) and he's one to be interested in on debut for excellent yard.

£20,000 Flat-bred Nathaniel gelding. No match for front two when third in a Hereford bumper on debut in April, shaping like a stayer. Would need to take a step forward to make a winning hurdle debut.

Fair maiden on Flat (well-bred and stays 1½m) but only beat one home in a handicap at Windsor last time. Wears first-time hood on first start over hurdles and market should guide expectations.

Has shown ability in two starts over hurdles, latest when midfield (25/1) in a Chepstow maiden (19.5f) that has produced plenty of winners last October. Drops back in distance returning from over a year off and betting may guide.

£25,000 3-y-o, Milan gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fair hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 21f) Queen Jane. Finished last of 5 in a novice hurdle at Wincanton (19.8f, soft) on debut in March and looks one for the future.

Made no impression when last of 6 in a bumper at Wexford (16.4f, heavy) debut last October. Has since left T. J. Nagle Jnr and has a bit to prove on hurdles bow for new yard.

Tailed off in 3 novice hurdles (had wind op following debut), latest run coming over C&D in January when again failing to see out his race. Others preferred.

Sent off at 4/1 when well beaten in a listed bumper at Cheltenham on debut and still needed the experience when down-the-field at Uttoxeter in March, having taken a strong hold. May yet have more to offer now sent hurdling by capable yard.

The betting should offer plenty of clues here but AGUELLID ran to a fairly useful level when fourth on hurdles debut in France and that form has some substance. He's narrowly preferred to point winners Kado Sacree and Harry Lowes, both representing excellent yards on Rules debut, while Sea Warrior is worth a market check.
