£50,000 5-y-o, Califet gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful 2½m hurdle winner Man At Work and fairly useful hurdler Timeforben. Easy winner of sole start in Irish points in May and he commands respect on hurdling debut (wears hood).

Maiden Irish pointer (fell twice in 5 starts) and finished well held on hurdling debut when sixth of 7 in novice at Market Rasen (16.6f, good) in August. Major improvement required after 3 months off.

Well held in a bumper on debut but, in first-time hood, showed more when fourth of 11 at Newcastle in April, having run of the race. Watch for market clues as he goes hurdling on first run since leaving Daragh Bourke.

Made a winning start in a Leopardstown bumper in March but has gone backwards in 3 starts since, pulled up in maiden hurdle at Listowel (16f, good to soft) in September. Has since left Thomas Cooper and joined a yard which does well with new recruits.

Brought down early on debut but has shown signs of ability both starts since, returning from 11 months off when never-nearer fifth of 8 in maiden at Sedgefield (16.8f, good to firm) in October. May be one for further down the line.

Runner-up in an Irish point in April and close third in a Worcester bumper on Rules debut. However, was well beaten next time and offered little in 2 starts over hurdles last month. Has something to prove at present.

Mid-field in a Doncaster bumper on debut in March but failed to progress from that run when fifth of 6 at Ludlow next time. Off 6 months ahead of hurdling bow and he may be one for the longer term.

In need of experience on bumper debut in March and built on that effort when making all at Huntingdon the following month. Has since left Richard Bandey/been off 6 months, but he's joined an in-form yard ahead of his first start over hurdles.

Made an unpromising start to her career when last of 7 in bumper at Huntingdon in May. Needs to leave that effort well behind as she goes hurdling after 6 months off.

Preference is for MOUNT GAY RUN, who has offered some encouragement in 2 starts over hurdles and could be capable of better making his first outing for Dan Skelton. A pair of hurdling debutants could be the main dangers, with winning pointer Adonedeal feared most ahead of Northanger Abbey.
