Justified support with cheekpieces refitted when opening his account in this sphere at Fontwell (3¼m, good) in September. Has backed that up with solid seconds in his 2 subsequent starts and looks set to go well again.

Added to his good record at Uttoxeter when first past the post in a 3¼m handicap chase (later disqualified) in July 2024. However, he shaped as though amiss when pulled up on return there last month and has a fair bit to prove at present.

Made winning start over fences at Ludlow last October, but ended that campaign with a string of poor efforts. Step back in the right direction when fourth on return at Hereford, finishing around 9 lengths adrift of second-placed Ballynaheer, but has yet to fully convince that he stays 3m+.

Regained the winning thread at Worcester last September and has largely acquitted himself well in defeat since. Behind a couple of these when below par at Hereford last time, though, and this 10-y-o may again prove vulnerable.

Exeter hurdles winner in November 2023 and opened chase account over 3m here during the spring. Has failed to fire in 3 subsequent starts, but he's edging back down the weights and will be a threat if the new headgear (first-time blinkers) works the oracle.

Poor maiden who finished lame when fourth of 15 in 3m handicap chase here in April 2024. Absent since and probably best to look elsewhere, unless the betting suggests otherwise.

Long-standing maiden who has performed with credit a couple of times since switched to fences, including when third to runaway winner Tedwin Hills at Stratford last time. Cheekpieces refitted and each-way chance if able to build on that.

BALLYNAHEER is by far the most solid option having followed his breakthrough success in this sphere at Fontwell with a couple of rock-solid efforts in defeat. A sound jumper, he should prove too strong for Bahtiyar and Mythe Bridge. There's no doubt that Iron d'Ex is capable off this sort of mark, but his best form has come at around 2½m.
