PricedUp Macer Gifford Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Better than ever when winning at Huntingdon in July but below par since falling at Uttoxeter next time, though trip probably too far in the conditions latest.

Fairly useful 2m chase winner who probably needed the run back hurdling after 16 months off at Market Rasen 19 days ago. Better expected now (below last winning mark).

Won 3 times last season, including at Ludlow in March. Not disgraced given he blundered 2 out when third at Carlisle final run. Can't be discounted on this reappearance.

Appeared well served by return to less testing ground when opening chase account at Doncaster in February and bolstered sound course record when second from 7 lb higher mark back there following month. However, ran poorly at Southwell final start and record here not great.

Took well to fences last winter, making all over 2m at Warwick and Hereford. Added to that with another all-the-way success back from a break at Wincanton in March but form dipped on his last 2 starts and he's probably a shade too high in the weights now.

Has shown plenty of temperament (running out twice) but was coaxed to victory under a good ride in novice hurdle at Fontwell in March. Respectable effort at Punchestown since and should make a chaser (runner-up in Irish point). Has had a breathing operation.

Finally got off the mark at Wetherby when last seen in March, benefiting from a more positive ride than previously over fences. Not an obvious type to follow up in this better race.

Still a maiden but improved sent chasing when second of 4 at Chepstow 3 weeks ago. Entitled to build on that and he's a player.

Has done well for this yard but has been held back by his jumping on 3 of his last 4 starts (aided by omitted fences when successful on other one). Others appeal more.
