Horse silk
80/1
Winning Irish pointer who made a promising start for his new yard when fourth of 11 in novice at Warwick (16f, good to soft) on his hurdles bow 7 months ago, considerately handled. Must enter calculations.

5/1
Fairly useful form in bumpers and he also shaped well when third on his hurdling debut at Newbury early in 2024. Prominent long way when pulled up (reportedly lost a shoe) in novice hurdle at Exeter (21.6f) 11 months ago but remains with potential for top yard.

13/8
£120,000 buy after winning sole Irish point last December. Posted an encouraging fourth of 10 on his yard debut in bumper at Ayr 6 months ago so he's very much one to consider now going over hurdles.

Choeur Du Nord gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser in France Hyde Madrik and modest 19f/2½m chase winner Jumper Madrik, stays 23f. Made the frame in a couple of points last year and is worth a second look in market on NH bow.

£60,000 4-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Brother to a winner, and closely related to useful hurdler Da Capo Glory, and half-brother to fairly useful 2m hurdle winner Argonauta. Runner-up in an Irish point last November. Interesting hurdling debutant for yard among the winners.

Made a winning debut in bumper at Worcester last September. Has failed to complete on all his three runs since switched to hurdles however, hooded and held in fourth when fell last over 2m here 12 days ago. Others are preferred.

Winning pointer who also landed a bumper here last November. Sixth in listed bumper at Newbury in February so he's much respected starting out in this sphere.

€50,000 6-y-o, Quest For Peace gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/chaser Dime A Dozen and fair chaser Jacks Touch. Dam maiden pointer. Easily landed an Irish point in March so needs considering now going hurdling.

Forecasts

Kalkbrenner (13/8), Lon Chaney (9/4), Swindon Village (4/1), Jack Black (5/1), The Price Of Peace (7/1), Bardenas (25/1), Klimt Madrik (33/1), Dixie Mafia (80/1), Kates Choice (125/1), My Boy Aaron (125/1), Peace Motivator (400/1), Osterberg (500/1)

13:28 Ffos Las - 28 October 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The market should reveal plenty here but the vote goes to Irish point runner-up LON CHANEY who hails from the in-form yard of Olly Murphy and also appeals on pedigree. Dan Skelton's returning Jack Black could emerge as the main danger, although other hurdling newcomers The Price of Peace, Kalkbrenner and Swindon Village all command plenty of respect too.
