Chase A Fortune25
Age: 7|  Weight: 12-0| J: Danny McMenamin| T: C Grant| OR:  104
Winless since making a successful chase debut at Catterick in February 2024 and his record since has been mixed, though he's become potentially well handicapped and should be sharper for his recent return at Sedgefield.

Trac214
Age: 8|  Weight: 12-0| J: B S Hughes| T: Micky Hammond| OR:  104
A 3-time winner in 2023/24 but failed to fire last season. Now below last winning mark but others are preferred returning from 7 months off.

Ballyforth,t197
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-13| J: Bruce Lynn| T: N W Alexander| OR:  103
Advanced his form on the back of wind surgery when ready winner over hurdles at Ayr in March. Shapes as if still in form next time and probably unsuited by quicker ground after, but he failed to complete on either chase outing last year so has a bit to prove having another crack at this sphere.

Diamond Mix194
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-9| J: Ryan Mania| T: Paul Robson| OR:  99
Plenty of promise on his second start over fences last season and built on that when proving a game winner of a 9-runner handicap chase at Hexham (15.6f, good). Up 5 lb but still reasonably unexposed and makes appeal after 6 months off.

Treaty Boyt14
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-9| J: Ross Chapman| T: W Coltherd| OR:  99
Capitalised on a falling mark at Catterick in February and ran well there under a penalty next time. Behind until taking a heavy fall at Hexham a fortnight ago on his return and others make greater appeal after that.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-9| J: Peter Kavanagh| T: Lizzie Quinlan| OR:  99| CD
Back to winning ways in 19f handicap hurdle at Carlisle in December but just respectable efforts at best since, including back over fences. Shaped as if amiss when last seen at Hexham but his most recent successes have all come in the autumn and he's on an appealing mark after a 6-month break.

Too Cool Forshrule22
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-4| J: Dylan Johnston(3)| T: Mrs J Stephen| OR:  94| D
Made a winning debut over fences at Market Rasen in March and followed up over hurdles later in the month for Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero. Stepped up on his return on debut for a new yard when second of 8 in handicap chase at Hexham (20.1f, heavy) 22 days ago and rates as a leading player.

Age: 9|  Weight: 11-1| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Lizzie Quinlan| OR:  91| D
Winner at Cartmel last summer but went off the boil later in the season and produced another tame finish when down the field in a Uttoxeter handicap hurdle last month. Hard to fancy back over fences.

Divas Doyenp140
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-9| J: P W Wadge| T: Miss S E Forster| OR:  85
Finally off the mark at Carlisle (20f) last November and career-best display when adding to her tally over C&D in March. Seemingly went off the boil in the summer but would have place claims if back to form after 4 months off.

Forecasts

Diamond Mix (3/1), Ballyfort (7/2), Chase A Fortune (6/1), Too Cool Forshrule (7/1), Heritier (8/1), Divas Doyen (8/1), Restandbethankful (10/1), Trac (14/1), Treaty Boy (14/1)

14:45 Kelso - 25 October 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

TOO COOL FORSHRULE won twice last season and shaped with encouragement on his recent yard debut, so is given the nod with the benefit of race fitness on his side. Diamond Mix signed off last campaign with a gritty win at Hexham and could well have more to offer this year, whilst Chase A Fortune has dropped to an eye-catching mark and could come on for his recent comeback.
