Fair flat maiden (stays 1½m) made an unpromising start to his hurdling career at Down Royal and was below form back on the Flat when eleventh of 18 in handicap (25/1) at Leopardstown (10f, heavy) 6 days ago. Bit to prove on hurdles return.

Fairly useful on Flat (debut winner over 1m, stays 10.5f) and showed plenty to work with on hurdling bow with tongue strap refitted (retained), finishing runner-up in a Cork juvenile (15.5f, good to soft) despite jumping none too fluently. Looks sure to improve for that experience.

Well-backed and looked set to place when falling on hurdle debut before finishing second in a Listowel 3-y-o hurdle (again let down by his jumping). Ran out with a visor refitted next time but finished creditable fifth on the Flat latest. Quirky but has claims back over hurdles.

What's New has a quirky side but has claims on his Listowel second, while Crooked Path was only 2 lengths behind Kibris last time and should be in the mix again.
