10/11
Soldier's Call gelding who shaped promisingly when third on debut at Haydock last summer and encouraging he built on that following 14 months off when landing 5-runner maiden (3/1) at Ffos Las (6f, good) in July, well on top finish. Step up to 7f looks sure to suit and big player under a penalty.

Frankel gelding. First foal of a dam who won the Duke of Cambridge Stakes. Makes a belated debut from what looks a tricky draw but significant if the market spoke in his favour.

Kameko colt who produced a promising first effort when chasing home Cosmic Year in a 13-runner C&D novice back in the spring. Off the track since but a repeat gives him definite claims of going one place better here.

33/1
Twice-raced maiden. 7/4 and tongue strap on for 1st time, shaped much better than the bare result when last of 4 in maiden at Brighton (7f, good) 23 days ago, seemingly ill-at-ease on the track. Type to do better and he will have handicaps as an option after this.

14/1
Dark Angel filly who still looked in need of the experience when fourth of 7 in maiden at this C&D (18/1) 9 days ago, not unduly punished. Looks the type to do better in handicaps including over further but respected nevertheless for each-way purposes.

Wootton Bassett filly who finished no better than midfield in novice/maidens on turf earlier this season. Low-grade handicaps ought to see her in a better light.

Twice-raced filly who showed a little more than she had on debut 13 months earlier when sixth of 7 in novice at Southwell (7.1f, 18/1) 23 days ago. However, she'll need to find a major chunk of improvement if she's to play a part here.

Conscript (10/11), Hit Squad (13/8), Fight Your Corner (9/2), Kartini (14/1), Mapplethorpe (33/1), Al Hofzan (66/1), English (66/1), Miss Allsorts (125/1), Pride Eye (125/1), My O My (125/1), Potters Prince (150/1), Rory's Royale (200/1), Titus Thor (300/1)

17:40 Kempton - 22 October 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

CONSCRIPT made light of a 14-month absence and looked better the further he went when landing a small-field Ffos Las maiden (6f) in July. Still displaying signs of greenness then, he appeals as the type to progress again now upped to 7f and earns the vote. Hit Squad found only Cosmic Year too good on debut in a C&D novice 6 months ago and he understandably commands plenty of respect. Kartini and newcomer Fight Your Corner are others worthy of a second look.
