Solid form when runner-up in a 10-runner handicap at Chelmsford City (8f) 63 days ago, on final start for Robert Eddery. In the mix if she can replicate that form on first start for new connections following a short break.

Back to form since the addition of blinkers, underlined her consistency on the all-weather when third of 13 in a fairly useful handicap at this C&D 13 days ago. Should remain competitive in a change of headgear.

Two-time winner as a juvenile and stepped up on reappearance when second of 9 in handicap at Newmarket (8f, good to firm, 18/1) 26 days ago, seeing out the longer trip well and just failing having hung right. Makes appeal off the same mark on return to the all-weather.

Off the mark on handicap debut on the Newmarket July course (7f) and followed up over 1m at the same track 8 days on. Too free when bidding for hat-trick in a better grade, seventh of 10 in handicap at York (8.8f, good to firm, 11/2) 39 days ago. Needs to settle but too soon to write off.

Finished third in back-to-back handicaps before struggling in better company when tenth of 18 in handicap at York (7f, good to firm, 33/1) 56 days ago. Back in calmer waters for all-weather debut and has claims if seeing out the longer trip (bred to stay 1m).

Night of Thunder filly who held an Oaks entry earlier this year. Best effort in handicaps when seventh in an 18-runner handicap at York (7f) prior to disappointing in very testing conditions at Sandown (7f) last month. Longer trip will suit and worth another chance in first-time tongue strap.

Close third over C&D on debut. Off the mark on qualifying run when successful in a 12-runner maiden at Chelmsford City (8f) in May, staying on to lead near finish. Remains open to improvement on handicap debut.

Forecasts

Purple Rainbow (7/4), Madame De Sevigne (4/1), Lady Of Arabia (9/2), Summer Heat (6/1), Wonderbolt (13/2), True Colors (10/1), Mollie Foster (11/1), Jakarta (11/1), Ruff Justice (25/1)

18:30 Southwell - 16 October 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

PURPLE RAINBOW was clearly held in high regard earlier in her career and looks worth another chance back up in trip with a first-time tongue strap fitted. Jakarta probably would have won had she kept straighter at Newmarket last time and makes appeal off the same mark, while lightly-raced Summer Heat is respected arriving on the back of her best effort to date.
