Form was modest before winning a 9-runner handicap at Beverley (15/2) 20 days ago with blinkers back on, travelling as well as any before staying on to lead late. Claims if headgear has a similar effect second time up.

Three-time winner over the summer but hasn't been seen to best effect on a few occasions since, fourth of 8 in handicap at Ayr (9/2) 13 days ago when held up, raced freely. Likely to settle better back over the minimum trip and could be staying on late off a strong pace. One to consider.

Won at Catterick (5f) 89 days ago but struggled over 6f of late, finished last of 10 at Newcastle (12/1) 18 days ago when weakening quickly. Return to 5f offers some hope of a bounce back.

After a Newcastle win in August and a course second, ran creditably when third of 12 in a handicap at Southwell (10/1) 6 days ago. Could be competitive back at this course.

Course specialist with 3 wins here. Won convincingly in 6-runner handicap at this course/distance (9/4) 12 days ago, moving well before accelerating when finding space near final furlong. Clearly favours this track and could win again in a race that is likely to be run to suit.

Three-time C&D winner but finished last of 6 at this C&D (3/1) 12 days ago, carrying head awkwardly and dropping away. Temperament looks an issue and others are more reliable.

Seven-time winner who scored at Hamilton Park (22/1) 22 days ago before finishing sixth of 8 in handicap (12/1) 14 days ago when slowly away and weakening in a better race under a penalty. Back down in class which could help chances.

Won at Redcar (5f) 65 days ago before returning to form last time. Third of 11 in handicap at Catterick (5f) (18/1) 12 days ago with first-time cheekpieces, though hung left in closing stages. Can be competitive if reproducing that recent effort but draw could have been kinder.

Course specialist with 2 C&D wins (including this in 2023) but form has regressed of late, finishing one-paced 4th of 9 at Newcastle AW (8/1) 45 days ago. Returning to favoured track could spark improvement and was second to Sixcor in this last year.

Had been struggling form but did have an excuse when in a change of headgear (retained) sixth of 11 in handicap at Catterick (17/2) 12 days ago, racing on the unfavoured side of the track. Hard to be confident of a revival unless market speaks strongly in his favour.

Improved form when third over this C&D on handicap debut in August but best forgiven latest 10th of 11 in handicap here (9/2) 30 days ago, racing wide from a poor draw. In good hands and looks well worth another chance from a better draw.

Form has dipped since February win, finishing seventh of 11 on stable debut at Newcastle (16/1) 13 days ago when failing to see out 6f trip as well as might have been expected. Strong pace back over 5f could see her to better effect.

Fifth of 6 in handicap at this C&D (9/2) 12 days ago, led before fading. Seems to have gone off the boil but worth a market check off a lower mark than when winning this race last year.

SKI ANGEL landed a convincing C&D victory 12 days ago and could follow up in a race that is likely to be run to suit. Jim Goldie's pair both make appeal and the market may offer some clues regarding their respective chances, Thunderstorm Katie will appreciate a strongly run race back down in trip, while Crackinthunder looks worth another chance to build on his promising handicap debut here. Doralee got back on track first-time in cheekpieces at Catterick but has a tough draw.
