Strong juvenile form at this course (off the mark over C&D in October) and got back on the up when second of 11 in a handicap over C&D 47 days ago. Hood on first time and she may well improve again on just her fifth career start.

Off the mark at third attempt at Wolverhampton (6f) in April. Has struggled in handicaps, faring no better with cheekpieces on (retained) when fifth of 9 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f) 22 days ago. Down in grade but could be vulnerable to an improver on return to sprinting.

Consistent type landed her fourth success of the season with a career best when winning 11-runner handicap at Bath (5.7f, good to soft, 3/1) 29 days ago, keeping on well. Should hold her own up in grade on all-weather debut.

Looked potentially useful when making a winning start at Newbury last summer but hasn't built on her reappearance third, well held on handicap debut at Newcastle (6f) 11 days ago. Hood on first time and needs to improve on what she's shown this season.

Won at Windsor (6f) in June but hit hard by handicapper after finishing second in a listed race at Carlisle. Back on track dropped in grade when second of 12 in handicap at Salisbury (6f, good to soft, 40/1) 11 days ago, running on. Should remain competitive off 1 lb higher.

Well-suited by a good pace when scoring over C&D last month and wasted no time getting back to form when third of 11 in a soundly-run handicap at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) 18 days ago. Looks to be some pace on here and she's one to consider back down in grade.

All 3 victories to date have come at this distance and she was doing all her best work late when third of 7 in a handicap at Yarmouth (5.2f, good, 7/1) 27 days ago. One to be interested in back up in trip.

4-time all-weather winner (twice over C&D) who proved as good as ever when successful on the Newmarket July course (6f) earlier this season. Not in the same form over 6f on the Rowley course last month but could be worth another chance back in calmer waters on the all-weather.

2-2 in all-weather novices to start her career but has still looked rough around the edges in handicaps, pulled hard when last of 9 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f, 14/1) 22 days ago. Still early days and she could be more competitive if the return to sprinting helps her settle.

Forecasts

Shallow (2/1), Jettie's Run (4/1), Powdering (11/2), Cindy Lou Who (7/1), Raneenn (8/1), Fantasy Obsessor (8/1), Fleetwater (14/1), French Sand (18/1), Jewelry (40/1)

18:40 Kempton - 13 October 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Highly competitive but SHALLOW has an excellent record at this track and could be worth another chance back down in grade on return to the all-weather. Raneenn has recorded all three of her victories over 6f and may prove the main danger stepping back up in trip. C&D winner Powdering finished ahead of Shallow in a better race on turf last time and she merits consideration along with Jettie's Run whose form over this C&D looks rock-solid.
