Oasis Dream colt arrives very much on up having landed back-to-back 1m novices at Kempton, recording a useful timefigure under an aggressive ride last month. Form looks rock-solid and he's sure to improve for the step up in trip (from the family of a St Leger winner). Makes plenty of appeal.

Bred to be smart and has shown plenty despite being beaten at short odds. Still green behind by a pair of impressive newcomers at Doncaster but outbattled when a close second in a 1m maiden here. Buick partners his stablemate and he'll need to improve for the step up to 1¼m with hood refitted.

Wootton Bassett colt was runner-up to a smart stablemate in a strong Killarney maiden (1m) on debut and improved to get off the mark in a 9f Tipperary maiden that has produced 4 next time out winners. Bred to stay well and looks open to plenty of improvement stepping up to 1¼m. Leading contender.

Off the mark (first start since being gelded) when defeating a highly touted runner-up at Kempton (7f), pulling clear of a subsequent winner in third. Improved again (despite sweating/showing awkward head carriage) to follow up in a deep conditions race at Newbury (1m). Likely more to come over 10f.

Much improved to win a small-field renewal of a typically strong maiden at Sandown (1m) in August, awarded the race having been badly hampered. Progressed again and shaped better than the result when fifth behind Look To The Stars at Newbury but will likely need to improve for the longer trip.

Pulled-clear with an odds-on shot (who finished second in the Goffs Million subsequently) on debut but took too long to get going when a beaten favourite at Ayr (1m) last month. Could outrun his odds over the longer trip (by Frankel) in first-time cheekpieces.

Well-bred son of Camelot was much improved from his debut fourth (solid form) at Leopardstown when justifying support in a historically strong maiden at Dundalk (1m) 57 days ago, found plenty and only kept up to work late on. Entered in the Group 1 Futurity and could easily improve upped in trip.

Expensive breeze-up purchase finished runner-up at York (most valuable maiden on the calendar) on his debut, form that is proving strong. Showed a good attitude to get off the mark when pushed all the way by a promising newcomer at Yarmouth (1m). Group 1 entered and should progress over 1¼m.

Forecasts

Pierre Bonnard (6/4), Endorsement (5/2), Look To The Stars (6/1), Spyce (8/1), Allegresse (17/2), Del Maro (14/1), Mr Colonel (50/1), Loz Vegas (50/1)

13:50 Newmarket - 11 October 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A competitive renewal of the sole British 2-y-o pattern event beyond 1m, the entire field tackling 1¼m for the first time. ALLEGRESSE is bred to stay well and clocked a useful timefigure when landing a double at Kempton. He looks sure to improve for the longer trip and is narrowly preferred to Endorsement, whose Tipperary form is strong, while Charlie Appleby has a fine recent record in this race and Look To The Stars could improve again. Pierre Bonnard (Group 1 entered) also makes appeal.
