Veteran finished fourth over C&D (soft) last season but that proved a standout effort. Down in class on reappearance but ideally needs softer ground.

Better over fences but did capitalise on a lower hurdles mark when dictating to win a 3-runner race at Newton Abbot (all bar one of his wins coming at the track) last season. Has a good record fresh but this looks competitive.

Fair 3m handicapper in Ireland for Paul Nolan and made an encouraging debut for Dan Skelton (following 4 months off) when chasing home at red-hot winner over 2½m at Worcester last month. Entitled to come for that run and looks a likely improver stepping back up to 3m.

Landed a double at the beginning of last season and ran his best race when a well-positioned second in a Class 2 3m handicap at Cheltenham in January. Finished his campaign on a low note but typically gives his running at this track and could be competitive back down in grade on reappearance.

Fairly consistent over hurdles and bounced back from a forgivable chase debut to land a fourth handicap success in an 8-runner event at Sedgefield (27f) last month, rallying to lead late under a good-value conditional (who rides again here). Will hold a fitness edge over some and may go well again.

Likeable veteran landed a 4-timer between April and June this year but not in the same form following 11 weeks off when well held behind Theatre of Flight at Worcester (23f) last time. Reunited with Harry Cobden but will need to take a step forward to resume winning ways.

Travelled with more fluency on first couple of starts over 3m but reverted to racing lazily when winning under a power-packed Sean Bowen ride at Plumpton in April. Has won off a break previously but comes with risks attached.

Some promise in maiden hurdles around 2½m for Jonjo & A.J O'Neill (shaped like a stayer) and proved a different proposition when successful on stable debut/reappearance at Worcester (23f) last month, travelled smoothly and quickened clear off a false pace. Remains one to be interested in.

Bumper winner opened his hurdles account at Ayr in February and far from disgraced when third in a pair of handicaps, the latest in an above-average race for the grade at Uttoxeter in May. Has had wind surgery in the interim (wears first-time tongue tie) and may have more to offer now upped in trip.

Resurgent over hurdles since winning at Southwell in March, landing back-to-back handicaps over the summer and better than ever when runner-up at Newton Abbot. Jumped poorly over fences last month and while he should more competitive back over hurdles, he's yet to win off a mark this high.

Runner-up in an Irish point. Went one better on Rules debut in a 2m Southwell maiden but was no match for an improver in a Wetherby novice (19.7f, heavy) in February. Bred to be suited this longer trip and could have more to offer on handicap debut, particularly if the market speaks in his favour.

Had multiple breathing operations prior to getting off the mark at sixteenth attempt (fourth start for current yard) in a 14-runner handicap hurdle at Newbury (24.2f) in March. Not in the same form at Haydock the following month but no surprise to see him much closer to form following a break.

17:10 Chepstow - 11 October 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

THEATRE OF FLIGHT looked a different model when winning over this sort of trip on stable debut/reappearance at Worcester 15 days ago and makes plenty of appeal in his bid to follow up. Lightly-raced Marlacoo will be suited by the likely strong pace and could have more to offer over a longer trip on first start since a breathing operation, while Tranquil Sea made an eye-catching debut behind a thriving winner on first start for Dan Skelton and looks a potential improver returning to 3m.
