Third in this race 12 months earlier from a 10 lb lower mark and produced a career best when winning Mares' Grade 2 at Ascot in January. Solid efforts in a pair of Grade 1s next 2 outings before running a bit below form in Select Hurdle on final start. No easy task back in a handicap from this mark.

Useful for Paul Nolan and has shaped well last 3 outings for Dan Skelton, including when second of 17 in a valuable handicap at Uttoxeter (23.3f, soft) in March, collared near finish. Should go well if returning from a 7-month break in similar form.

Fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser for Willie Mullins, losing out only on nod and clear of rest in a valuable handicap chase at Killarney in May. Has shaped with some promise both starts back on the Flat for new yard since but looks too high in the weights reverting to hurdling.

8-y-o who boasts a good strike rate and proved himself better than ever after 4 months off when winning 7-runner handicap hurdle at Perth (20.2f, soft) in April. Seemed unsuited by a test of speed at Aintree the following month. Capable fresh.

Point/bumper winner who looked smart prospect when showing plenty of speed to run away with introductory hurdle at Haydock (15.6f) in December and bounce back from a couple of disappointments when runner-up at Perth in April. Potentially well-in on handicap debut.

Resumed winning ways at Aintree in April and solid efforts both subsequent starts whilst looking summed up by her mark. Steps back up in trip after a break.

Enhanced excellent strike rate with a 2m Hexham handicap win in May. Not seen to best effect in the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen and has ticked over with a couple of runs on the Flat subsequently.

Bumper winner who quickly proved himself a likeable and reliable type over hurdles, winning 2 of his 4 starts last season. Heads into handicaps from a stiff enough opening mark on the face of it after 9 months off but remains totally unexposed.

Ran up to something close to his best when second of 6 in handicap hurdle at Aintree (20f, good to firm) in May, making effort earlier than ideal. Has gone well fresh before, so couldn't rule out.

Proved at least as good as ever in making a successful return to hurdling in 10-runner handicap (7/1) at Uttoxeter (19.9f, good) 30 days ago. Had the run of the race there, so may struggle to defy a 4 lb higher mark in a deeper affair.

Veteran who scored for the first time in almost 2 years at Wetherby (19.7f) in February. Unsuited by the marked step back in trip minus his usual cheekpieces after 3 months of at Newton Abbot (16.8f) on most recent outing but this is no easy task.

Resumed progress with victory in the corresponding event 12 months earlier. Well below that level all 3 runs since but seems best fresh, so a bold show wouldn't be a surprise. Had breathing operation.

Dan Skelton throws as many as five at this valuable handicap, but ROYAL INFANTRY looks the clear pick. He perhaps didn’t progress as well as might have been expected following his facile win at Haydock in December but got back on track with a fine second at Perth on his final outing and returns as an unexposed sort off a potentially good mark. Last year’s winner Josh The Boss seems best fresh and could run a big race on his return, with the selection’s stablemate Joyeux Machin also shortlisted.
