Jukebox Jury gelding who was successful sole start in points last year and has shown plenty of promise in this sphere, going close in novice events at Carlisle and Perth, latterly pulling clear of the rest when touched off by an odds-on shot from the Olly Murphy yard. The one to beat.

Half-brother to useful hurdler Ask Ben (2¾m-3m winner) and fair hurdler/chaser Goodgirlteresa (19f/2½m winner). Went close on the second of his 2 starts between the flags, but this 4-y-o will probably come into his own when faced with a stiffer test in due course.

Made the frame first 2 starts in bumpers prior to winning one with a first-time tongue strap fitted at Sedgefield (16.8f, good) where he saw off his sole rival in ready fashion. Very much of interest now switched to hurdles.

Made it third time lucky in Irish points in April and shaped better than the bare result when fifth in a bumper here on Rules debut. However, she hasn't pulled up any trees over hurdles the last twice.

It's likely that former point winner SPADESTEP's future ultimately lies over fences, but he looks more than capable of making his mark in this sphere in the meantime judged on his close-calls at Carlisle and Perth during the spring. The 6-y-o is taken to make it third time lucky under Rules, with Sedgefield bumper winner Frammy the clear main danger ahead of point-to-point recruits Rock Dj and Captain Ted.
