Bagged a couple of 1¼m handicaps in 2024, but largely campaigned at 1m this season and has posted several solid efforts in defeat, including a clear second to subsequent Hunt Cup winner My Cloud over C&D at the end of April. No easy task on these terms, but not without each-way hope all the same.

Built on earlier promise to land 17-runner maiden at Chantilly (9.4f, AW) during the winter, but has failed to fire both subsequent appearances, latterly trailing in last of 8 in a Sandown handicap back on these shores in June. Since undergone a wind op and needs to get back on track.

Opened his account at the tenth attempt when taking 6-runner Chelmsford maiden (1m) last month, making most of the running and scoring decisively. However, he faces a far taller order on these terms now back on turf.

Fairly useful 7f winner at 2yrs and stepped up on his belated reappearance effort when mid-field in a 7f handicap at the St Leger meeting, shaping as though this step up to a mile would be in his favour. One to consider.

Clear-cut AW maiden winner earlier this year and bettered his low-key turf debut when third of 7 in 1m Sandown handicap on penultimate start. Raised his game when landing a 14-runner Newcastle handicap (1m) next time and he has to enter calculations.

Made his fifth start a winning one in a Beverley maiden (7.4f, good to firm) and has progressed in handicaps subsequently, producing another good effort when second to the progressive Indalo, who went close in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket recently, at Southwell last time. Merits respect.

Confirmed debut promise when landing the odds in a 9-runner novice at Kempton (1m) in August. Turned over when again odds on for another novice event at that track next time, but the drop to 7f counted against him on that occasion and he remains unexposed. Turf debut.

Progressive 3-y-o who landed back-to-back 7f handicaps at Doncaster and this course during the summer. Lost no caste in defeat when chasing home Herculeus at Newbury on penultimate start, but he was below par at Newcastle last time and some of his rivals make more appeal on these terms.

Banished the memories of her odds-on debut defeat when getting the job done in a 1m Pontefract novice in June. Form of her next-time-out second at Newbury looks strong and she wasn't disgraced in listed company on latest start, so there is plenty of cause for optimism here.

All-weather form often translates well to this track and GRIZEDALE, who has shown plenty in his three starts on synthetics, gets the nod in this competitive heat. The drop to 7f did him no favours at Kempton last time, but he looked promising when winning over this trip at the same track previously and remains with scope for improvement. Crack On Boys and the filly Wujjood are both feared, while Angel Hunter and Knights Gold are others to consider.
