Notched third success in this sphere when seeing off 8 rivals in a 3m Ffos Las handicap (good to soft) in April. However, that victory is bookmarked by a woeful efforts and he's probably worth taking on back from a break here.

Three-time winner over fences at Worcester and was in the process of running well there when falling 2 out on his penultimate start. Far from disgraced when fourth of 11 over hurdles at Uttoxeter (23.3f, good) recently and should have a part to play, granted a clean round of jumping.

Narrow winner over this C&D in February and didn't do much wrong when second in a Class 2 handicap at Aintree when last seen during the spring. Resumes from a break on the same mark and he has to enter calculations.

Point winner in May and made it 2-3 over fences at this course with a tidy success in a 4-runner handicap chase the following month. Also scored over hurdles in August, but subsequently misfired back in this sphere at Uttoxeter and he's probably a shade too high in the weights for now.

Has returned to form with a vengeance since joining James Owen, making it 4-4 for the yard with minimum fuss at Newton Abbot (25.8f, soft) recently. New mark has now kicked in (34 lb higher than when winning over hurdles on debut for this yard), but he's still very much the one to beat.

Came good in 23f Hexham maiden hurdle in May. Not in the same form when turned over at short odds in a novice there later that month and failed to complete on recent reappearance at Uttoxeter, but this 6-y-o will be a threat if his jumping passes the test now switched to fences.

Despite rocketing up the weights following his recent winning spree, SHANTOU LUCKY remains well treated on the form he showed in Ireland for Gavin Cromwell and the 8-y-o is taken to maintain his 100% record for these connections. If Finn Lough resumes at the top of his game he will be a threat, while Tiger Orchid and chase debutant Pike Road may also have parts to play.
