Happy Birthday Pam Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Three wins around 2m in the first half of last season but hasn't been in the same form more recently, offering very little at Cartmel a month ago. Down in class but lots to prove.

Veteran who got his head back in front at Newcastle in February. Backed that up with a fine second at Cartmel in May but below that level both outings subsequently, albeit he may have just needed the run at latter track last month.

Sold out of Henry De Bromhead's yard for just £5,000 in June and while his efforts at Newton Abbot and Uttoxeter in July were creditable, his last 3 displays have been lacklustre, failing to improve for change of tactics/headgear latest.

Tongue tie fitted on second start back from a breathing operation and he gained his breakthrough in 6-runner handicap hurdle at Hereford in May. Off since and now has attentions switched to chasing at a very realistic level.

Bagged brace of 3m2f chases at this venue during the spring. Ran up to form when fourth at Cartmel last month but ideally needs a stiffer rest of stamina than this.
