Close third of 15 on debut at the Curragh before landing the odds in a Galway maiden upped to 8.3f last month. In terms of bare form his achievements don't measure up to some of the others (including stablemate Daytona), but, on the other hand, this Frankel colt is brimming with potential.

Fetched 1,100,000 gns as a yearling and confirmed the positive impression he created on debut when following up in a warm-looking Goodwood novice (1m, good to firm), defying a penalty in really likeable fashion. This is a significant step up, but he's potentially smart and could have a part to play.

Looked good on debut at Newbury last month and there was an awful lot to like about the way he wrestled his way back to the front after being headed in a listed race at Haydock (8.2f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Looks ready for this step up in class and he's high on the shortlist.

Decisive winner of 7f Gowran maiden and 1m listed race at Naas on first 2 starts prior to finishing third in a Group 3 at Deauville where the drop back to 7f was one of a couple of factors that counted against him. Remains open to improvement for top yard and needs considering.

Built on debut success when making it 2-2 in the Chesham at Royal Ascot (7f, good to firm) in June. Back on track when going close in the Solario at Sandown last time (seemingly unsuited by the track when down the field at Goodwood on penultimate start) and this step up to 1m will be in his favour.

Stepped up on what he showed first time out when landing a 7f Kempton novice last month. Subsequent third over the same C&D was no backward step, but he's probably biting off more than he can chew now stepping into Group 2 company.

Got the better of shorter-priced stablemate Wild Desert (twice placed in Group company since) when making a winning debut on the other course here in June. Only gave way close home in the 7f Solario at Sandown where his lack of experience was evident and this Dubawi colt is capable of better.

Sixth of 9 behind Humidity on debut in the Chesham prior to bagging a 10-runner Catterick maiden (7f, good) a month later. However, his limitations were seemingly exposed when last of 7 in the Haydock listed race won by Bow Echo.

Forecasts

Bow Echo (85/40), Pacific Avenue (3/1), Daytona (3/1), Action (5/1), Humidity (10/1), Ancient Egypt (16/1), Tailgunner Joe (200/1), Lord Britain (250/1)

13:50 Newmarket - 27 September 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Aidan O'Brien has tasted success in this race several times in the past and ACTION could be another Royal Lodge winner for the yard. It's admittedly a sizeable step up for the Frankel colt, who has only contested maidens so far, but he looks very promising indeed. Stablemate Daytona was better than he was able to show in France and is feared most, albeit only marginally as Bow Echo, Pacific Avenue and Ancient Egypt (in order of preference) are all open to improvement. Humidity also has claims.
