Won a handicap hurdle that has worked out well at Huntingdon (19.2f) in May, for all he was seen to maximum effect from the front. Not in the same form since, doing too much too soon back on the Flat at Salisbury last month. Claims if he can get his own way in front back over hurdles.

Well-held in points but finished runner-up in a modest bumper on Rules debut. Yet to improve in two starts over hurdles, jumping none too fluently in a first-time tongue tie (retained) when third in a Bangor novice 22 days ago, but he's in good hands and could have more to offer now handicapping.

Off the mark for present yard when winning Division I of this race in 2024 off a 2 lb lower mark. Seemingly going through the motions of late and while not the easiest to win with, he's fallen to a handy mark if back to form here.

Opened her account back against her own sex at Huntingdon in May but was well-beaten at this course the following month and offered little on first start for Olly Williams at Hexham 31 days ago. Arrives with a bit to prove.

Fair winning hurdler but looked one with problems when pulled up in 2 chases earlier this season. Fared little better back over hurdles in cheekpieces (retained) when last of 6 in a handicap at Worcester (2m) earlier this month. Down in grade but remains with questions to answer.

Made a successful hurdle debut in January but didn't progress for Dan Skelton. Looked potentially well bought at £6,000 when a promising third on stable debut here (16.5f) in June. Likely needed the run at Uttoxeter last time and she's one to be interested in with that run under her belt.

Fair winning hurdler for Gordon Elliott last year but struggled for Tracey Leeson, failed to complete on last 3 hurdles starts and made little impact on the flat since. Has joined a new yard but remains to be seen if a change of scenery can spark a revival.

Runner-up twice at Huntingdon last year but has proved inconsistent, last seen when pulled-up in a handicap at Taunton (19f) in November. Seemingly hasn't been the easiest to train and the market should guide expectations returning from a 10-month absence.

10-y-o maiden but best efforts have come at this track (joined when falling at the last over C&D) in March. Distant third in a 9-runner handicap at Stratford on penultimate start but was amiss (irregular heartbeat) at Fontwell last month. Could be in contention for place money if back on song.

Off the same mark as when winning Division II of this race last year but has been more miss than hit since then, on a going day when third over C&D in June but well-held on two subsequent starts here. Chances depend on whether more severe headgear has the desired effect.

Forecasts

Bannister (11/4), Queens Wish (10/3), Ikigai Star (5/1), Start Again (5/1), Vivid Pink (7/1), Gms Prince (12/1), Lord Warburton (18/1), Soldat Forte (22/1), Leading Lion (25/1), Little Soiree (66/1)

18:15 Market Rasen - 27 September 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

QUEENS WISH showed promise when third on debut for new connections in June and she appeals most with a recent pipe-opener at Uttoxeter under her belt. Bannister isn't the easiest to win with but is 2 lb lower than when successful in Division 1 of this race last year, while Ikigai Star has claims on the form he showed earlier in the season, particularly if getting his own way in front. Start Again is the one to note for market confidence now handicapping.
