Useful hurdler/chaser for Willie Mullins and shaped like a non-stayer when last seen finishing well-held in a Grade 3 novice chase at Galway in April 2023. Has since joined the Twiston-Davies stable and the market should guide expectations on this hurdles return following 2 years off.

Landed a hurdle 6-timer last year, including two course victories. Proved every bit as good over fences earlier this season and bounced back from a couple of poor runs with a creditable fifth at Uttoxeter (20f) earlier this month. Shouldn't be underestimated in bid to maintain 100% course record.

Likeable dual-purpose performer has won his previous 2 hurdle starts, beating 5 of these rivals when landing the Summer Hurdle over C&D in July. Clearly still in fine heart when third back on the Flat at Chester last month and he could improve again to make 3-3 over hurdles under Gavin Sheehan.

Progressive sort went 4-4 over hurdles after joining Olly Murphy and lost very little in defeat when fourth in the Summer Hurdle at this course last time. Still has age on his side and could open to further improvement on the back of a short break.

Finished outside the frame for the first time over jumps when fifth in the Summer Hurdle here but that performance can be marked up given his wider than ideal route. Resumed progress on the Flat when runner-up at Goodwood last month and he merits plenty of respect back over hurdles.

Very much on the up when completing a 2m½m handicap hurdle hat-trick at Plumpton last spring. Drops back in trip but he's low mileage and it would no surprise to see him resume progress on his return.

Won the 2024 Summer Hurdle off this mark but found life tougher when mid-field in the 2025 renewal. Well below form on subsequent starts but is back on a workable mark and it'll be interesting to see if the market hints at a revival with cheekpieces back on.

Right back to his best on first hurdle start for James Owen when third in the Summer Hurdle, ridden prominently and rallying late on behind stablemate Cavern Club. Improved form back on the Flat when runner-up to Saligo Bay 2 weeks ago and no surprise to see him take a step forward back hurdling.

Not disgraced when mid-field behind Cavern Club over C&D in July and has made more impact with sights lowered of late. as good as ever on form when winning a competitive 0-110 handicap at Uttoxeter (19.9f) 11 days ago. Could be vulnerable back down in trip against better opposition.

Off the mark with a cosy success in Worcester maiden on debut for Olly Murphy but unable to build on that back in a handicap when third of 6 at Perth (2m, good to firm), last month, seemingly finding the test too sharp. Would benefit from a strong pace but still needs to improve in a deeper race.

Shaped well when third in a 2m1f handicap hurdle at Cartmel (good) last month, doing best of those held up on a day where it benefitted to be prominent. Season-best performance when successful on the Flat at Chester 2 weeks ago and he looks primed to run another big race back over hurdles.

Sole hurdles win came at this track for Ian Williams. Attracted support and shaped well when runner-up on debut for Dan Skelton at Worcester (20f, soft) 12 days ago, not ideally placed in a falsely-run race. Out of the handicap in this grade but looks an interesting contender in first-time blinkers.

Plenty in with a chance but it could pay to side with SALIGO BAY who shaped well from an unpromising position when third at Cartmel on his most recent start over hurdles and it's highly encouraging he arrives on the back of a season's best victory on the Flat. His main opposition may come from the reopposing principals from the Summer Hurdle, Goblet of Fire endured a wider passage when fifth that day while Cavern Club proved better than ever in victory.
