Virgin Bet Foundation Stakes (Listed)

Group 1 winner in the mud at 2 and bagged a Newmarket Group 3 on good to soft last summer. Well-held fifth in the Coronation Cup at Epsom in June (subsequently gelded) but capable of bouncing back with sights lowered.

Four wins during a highly productive 4-y-o campaign, including a Newmarket listed event in the mud. Has drawn a blank this year but penultimate C&D second shows he retains all his ability. Each-way claims.

Seventeen runs since last win in 2023. Creditable 4 lengths third of 9 to Zeus Olympios in Superior Mile at Haydock (good to firm) 18 days ago but his slow starts are increasingly becoming an issue.

Smart handicapper who has made an encouraging start for current yard, recording excellent placed efforts at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood this summer. Below par at York latest but he's not the type to stay down for long.

Low-mileage 6-y-o who landed a Sandown Group 3 last spring but off for a year after and has yet to recapture that level in 3 outings this season.

Lightly-raced 6-y-o who went close in listed company last season but wasn't at his best in a Sandown Group 3 and C&D listed on his return in the spring. Absent since.

Made a very good start to his career in the spring, winning Wood Ditton at Newmarket (1m) runner-up in the Dee Stakes at Chester (1¼m, good to soft). Easy to forgive a lesser run on much quicker ground at Royal Ascot and remains capable of better having been freshened up since.

Excellent Goodwood record, including a Class 4 handicap win over this trip in August, but she faces a very stiff task in this much higher grade.

London Gold Cup winner at Newbury (1¼m, firm) in the spring and produced a really smart handicap performance to follow up on much softer ground at Sandown at the end of August. Can take the step up to listed company in his stride.

Starspangledbanner colt who ended a very promising 2-y-o campaign with a win in the Group 3 Zetland at Newmarket (1¼m, good to soft) in October. Not seen since so betting perhaps the best guide.

Useful filly but winless since debut success on sole 2-y-o start. Excellent second in handicap at Nottingham on return but well held in York listed race and Ascot handicap since. A change of headgear (first-time blinkers for cheekpieces) needs to spark an upturn in her fortunes.
