Gained reward for a string of consistent efforts and just about better than ever when successful at Haydock in May (11.8f). Several solid efforts in high-end handicaps since at up to 14f, typically ridden with restraint when a keeping-on third latest. Can give it another good go.

Ended long losing run stretching back to the Cambridgeshire in 2022 in a 10f handicap in Bahrain in January. Not in the same form on two subsequent starts in the Middle East but back from 6 months off, he was right back on his game when third at Goodwood. Stamina to prove for this far.

Lightly-raced 5-y-o who took his form up another notch with impressive 4¼-length handicap debut success at Thirsk (1½m, good) on reappearance in April. Inexperienced for a race such as the Ebor but shaped well in seventh and he may yet have a bigger performance in him.

Made the frame in several top handicaps in 2024 and resumed winning ways at Newmarket in July. Never on terms when seventeenth of 22 in Ebor at York and also failed to land a blow at Haydock a fortnight ago.

Thrived in the second half of the summer, racking up a 1½m hat-trick. Winning run ended but still performed with credit when fourth of 8 in Lanark Silver Bell at Hamilton (1½m) and seemed to relish 14.5f when an excellent second at Doncaster last week.

Much improved to make a winning handicap debut/reappearance over 1¼m at Chester in June. Inexperience still apparent on occasions both starts since, not unduly punished once chance had gone at Sandown and he's certainly in the right hands to unlock more. Shortlisted.

Ended 2024 on the up with 1m4f victory at Newcastle in October. Back from 10 months off with an encouraging sixth of 10 in handicap at Ascot (12f, good to firm) last month and build on that second try over 14f when finding only a stablemate too strong at Haydock a fortnight ago.

Developed into a smart handicapper in 2022 but was pulled up having gone wrong at Chester in September of that year. No surprise he shaped as if needing the run after 23 months off at Ascot in August 2024 and he's been off further 13 months since (also moved yards).

Has just the one handicap win to his name and rather expensive to follow since, Not for the first time, his finishing effort didn't match the way he moved through the race when behind a couple of these at Haydock recently.

Arrives in good nick without winning in 2025, quickening well off a modest pace before being run down close home at Windsor a month ago. Stays this far and likely to give it another good shot.

Had an exceptional 2024 when winning 5 times on the Flat and once over hurdles. Good second of 9 in handicap at Yarmouth (14.1f, good to soft) in July and while he hasn't matched that twice since, he's of serious interest on this ground.

Useful Flat winner in Germany. Campaigned mainly over hurdles since coming to Britain, achieving no better than modest form and needed to see more on last week's return to the level.

Debut winner who shaped well when narrowly defeated on two subsequent maiden starts (looked a strong stayer). Far from disgraced in trio of high-end handicaps since, albeit unable to land a telling blow in the Melrose latest. Cheekpieces on for the first time.

Latest win at Epsom over 12f in July and stuck to her task well when second in the mud at Bath 17 days ago. Blinkers on upped further in trip and this is a warmer contest.

Competitive fare but if there's a runner with the potential to be a lot better than their current mark it's surely MAJESTIC WARRIOR. He was far from disgraced in the Ebor last time and surely has a bigger performance in him. Castle Cove is another lightly-raced stayer with the potential to raise his game, while Miller Spirit looks the pick of those at longer odds back on this sort of ground.
