Prolific winner this year, his latest at Ascot in July. Has gone up in the weights as a result and his latest fourth at Ripon 3 weeks ago suggests the handicapper is in charge for now.

Twice a winner over 5f in testing conditions last season but confirmed he doesn't need the mud to be flying to be very effective when landing 10-runner handicap at Ascot last month. Not ideally placed bidding to follow up when seventh of 20 over C&D (good) recently and remains in good order.

Won an Ayr maiden (6f) in May and progressed further in handicaps, runner-up over C&D prior to going one better at Pontefract in July, putting the race to bed when gap appeared. Not so good next time but looked better than ever when runner-up back at Pontefract (5f) 3 weeks ago. In the mix.

Navan maiden winner during a stint in Ireland last season and confirmed yard debut promise when landing 19-runner handicap over C&D in July. Even better form in defeat when third of 20 at this C&D (good) last month and being low-mileage, he can go on improving. Leading claims.

Hit the target twice in 2024 and his turn looked to be near again judged on his solid second at Hamilton in June. Poor draw a ready excuse back at that venue next time, but excuses were hard to come by over C&D last month, first-time cheekpieces failing to do the trick. Now below last winning mark.

It's now 30 runs since his last win in 2023 and he was struggling before halfway when last seen at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) in May. Handicapper eases his grip further, but others are much preferred.

Hasn't stood much racing in recent years but confirmed he retains a useful level of ability in 2 runs this summer, doing too much in front and paying for it late when fourth of 11 in handicap at Newbury (5.2f) 3 weeks ago. Can give another good account.

Landed the £100,000 bonus for a trio of wins across the 6 Sunday Series fixtures at Haydock last month, better than ever in the process. Run of good form halted over C&D last time (forced into doing plenty on the front end) and worth a chance to prove that was just an off day.

Well positioned when getting off the mark for the campaign in 7-runner handicap at Musselburgh last month but out of his depth at this C&D (good) 3 weeks later. Likely to face another struggle.

Successful at Dante meeting in May and best effort since when good fourth in Sky Bet Dash back here in July. Not so good in competitive handicaps at Ripon/Thirsk the last twice and hopes pinned on a return to this venue in first-time cheekpieces sparking a revival.

Two AW wins earlier in year and in good form back on turf since, finishing a fine fourth of 16 in a competitive 5f Epsom handicap in June. Rare below-par effort at Goodwood later that month and may well need this having not been seen since.

Another ultra-competitive sprint on the Knavesmire in which preference is for AIR FORCE ONE, who is lightly raced for his age and his efforts over this C&D for his new handler in recent weeks suggest he hasn't yet finished improving. He can get the better of Bergerac, who wasn't at his best last time but can prove that effort to be just a minor blip. Spring Is Sprung, Vintage Clarets and Dan Tucker are just a handful of others to consider, too.
