Fairly useful at best but well below that level this year. Didn't need to be at her best to win a Sligo claiming hurdle on final start for Willie Mullins but underlined her inconsistency when disappointing over fences on stable debut last month. May prove more competitive back in a selling hurdle.

Dual hurdles winner has lost his way in both codes, off the bridle a long way out when well beaten at Newmarket last month. Yard has a respectable record in this sort of contest but a resurgence is needed (stable also saddle Chillhi).

Ended a lengthy losing run over hurdles at Uttoxeter (20f) in July and scored on the Flat at Beverley (2m) since. Bounced back from a disappointing effort when a creditable third in a 9-runner handicap at Newton Abbot (16.8f) 7 days ago and should give a good account dropped into selling company.

Snapped a losing run in good style from the front at Ffos Las in May and largely remained in good form since, proving more tractable than usual when a close second in a 10-runner handicap at Cartmel (17.2f) 2 weeks ago. Well-suited to a sharp track and is 1-1 in selling company. Strong claims.

Flat winner who performed well on a couple of occasions over hurdles for Dan Skelton last year but hasn't fire this season, latest on stable debut when tailed off at Market Rasen last month. Arrives with plenty to prove.

Forecasts

Gavin (6/5), Chillhi (13/8), Laser Focus (5/1), Jo's Rainbow (12/1), Mount Sinai (28/1)

16:12 Stratford - 6 September 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

GAVIN arrives in good form having proved less headstrong than usual when runner-up at Cartmel 2 weeks ago and should again be suited by a sharp track. He can capitalise on a drop into selling handicap company, with fellow front-runner Chillhi the obvious danger for a yard who have a respectable record in this sort of contest. Of the rest, Mount Sinai has the form to be competitive if back on song and could be the one to pick up the pieces if the pace is overly strong.
