Developed into a useful sprinter in 2024, winning the 3-y-o "Dash" at Epsom before finishing second in a big-field Royal Ascot handicap. Further progress when overcoming traffic problems to land a heavy-ground C&D handicap last September and will be danger to all if on-song following 10-months off.

Speedy type who did pretty well last season, the highlight of which was his narrow verdict in the 5f Beverley Bullet. However, things have yet to click for him this year and his yard may have a better chance of success in this with Alaskan Gold.

Form was patchy in second half of 2024 and generally below par this year, albeit he hit the target at Doncaster (5f, good to firm) in June and should come on for recent Kempton spin following a 2-months break. Yard has won last 2 runnings of this and he's worth a second look with blinkers refitted.

Performed well all 3 visits here last season, including when going down fighting in this race 12 months ago. Below par when favourite for the Epsom "Dash" in June but better effort when third in a Racing League handicap at Yarmouth (5.2f, good to soft) since and he's a big player.

On a good mark judged on peak form when in the care of Karl Burke and he was a close third in a 4-runner Hamilton handicap on second start for this yard (also second run at the minimum trip) last month. Failed to build on that at Goodwood (6f, good to firm) since but he remains unexposed at 5f.

Her 2025 campaign has already proved to be highly productive, notching fifth win of the season over this C&D in July and added a sixth at York next time. Took her form up another notch when a close third in a valuable handicap back on the Knavesmire recently and she has to enter calculations.

Winner of a 5f Ripon novice on second of his 3 starts as a juvenile and built on his reappearance when runner-up in a big-field York handicap during the spring. However, his form has gradually nosedived since and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Quick off the blocks this season, placed several times prior to landing back-to-back 5f handicaps during the spring. Returned to form when adding to his tally at Pontefract (5f, good) last time but more will be needed up 3 lb in this deeper race.

Successful in handicaps over 6f here and 5f at Leicester last season. Positive start to present campaign when third of 16 back here on return in May but was nearer last than first at Doncaster since and one or two of these bring more persuasive claims to the table.

Luna A Inbhir Nis (2/1), Jer Batt (5/2), Atomic Force (11/2), Sergeant Pep (10/1), Democracy Dilemma (12/1), Blue Storm (14/1), Loom (18/1), Baldomero (18/1), Alaskan Gold (20/1), Reigning Profit (33/1)

16:07 Haydock - 6 September 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This is likely to be fast and furious and JER BATT, who went close in this race 12 months ago, is taken to deliver a telling late blow. The 5-y-o is on a good mark and his latest effort at Yarmouth was solid. If ready to roll on this belated seasonal reappearance Blue Storm could also play a part in the finish, while Luna A Inbhir Nis is enjoying a tremendous campaign and, on the back of a cracking effort in a valuable York handicap, she looks set for another leading role.
