Fair on the Flat (stays 1½m) and shaped particularly well on second hurdles start when runner-up at Kempton (2m), showing plenty of speed at the trip. In good form on the Flat for new connections in the spring and makes appeal now handicapping in a new combination of headgear.

One-time useful performer on the Flat in France (stays 12.5f). Proved a weak finisher over hurdles for Alan King and has been hit and miss for new connections, showing first hurdles form when third at Market Rasen (16.6f) last month. Remains to be seen if he can build on that now handicapping.

Sold cheaply out of Clive Boultbee-Brooks yard and left previous form behind when successful on handicap/stable debut at Uttoxeter, beating a subsequent winner. Looked quirky but followed up over the same C&D 8 days on. Yard do well with this type and may improve again to land the hat-trick.

On a fair hurdles mark given his Flat form but remains a maiden in this sphere. Hinted at a revival when fourth on latest hurdles outing at Stratford (16.3f) and backed that up with a creditable effort back on the Flat at Newbury last month. One to note should the market speak in his favour.

No impact in points. Well beaten in maiden/novice hurdles at this track earlier in the season but did show a bit more on final qualifying run when fifth in a 7-runner Cartmel novice (17.2f, heavy) in July. Market should prove informative now handicapping with yard also saddling Guillaume.

Three-time runner up in handicaps this season, including over C&D in July prior to proving no match for a well-backed Dan Skelton winner at Stratford (18.7f) later that month. Should remain competitive, for all he doesn't appear to have much in hand from this mark.

Fairly-useful Flat maiden for James Ferguson and yet match that form over hurdles, again travelled into his race but found little at Uttoxeter (15.8f) in May. Races off a handy mark following another breathing operation and would be interesting if supported for yard who also saddle Monticello.

Fair in bumpers and showed more on handicap debut prior to shaping encouragingly upped in trip when third at Uttoxeter (20f) in July, paying the price for going toe-to-toe with a thrown in winner on the front end. Looks the pace angle here and could be interesting if coping with this sharper test.

Fortunate runner-up in a poor Sedgefield novice in March but hasn't built on that, seemingly little excuse when midfield in a Cartmel handicap over a similar trip 13 days ago. Needs to improve.

Forecasts

Monticello (8/13), Guillaume (6/1), Golden Dove (7/1), Dante's Inferno (11/1), Dreams Fled Away (14/1), Mr Globalist (18/1), Meetingofthewaters (25/1), Sonic Gold (25/1), Normandy Legend (33/1), Selwan (80/1)

16:10 Bangor-on-Dee - 5 September 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A few who could be interesting off their current marks but hat-trick seeking MONTICELLO is preferred for a yard who excel with this type. Golden Dove makes appeal now handicapping in this sphere for new connections, while possible pace-setter Dante's Inferno could be dangerous if coping with this sharper test. Of the rest, Normandy Legend remains potentially well-treated given his Flat form and he's one to note for support following another wind operation.
