Shown a fair bit in 5f events but this is surely too tough up in trip/class.

Big-money breeze-up purchase who was well backed and showed ability on debut when third of 11 in a novice at Nottingham. That form worked out well and he ran another promising race at Yarmouth (6f) 4 weeks ago. Tongue tie goes on and one to consider.

16/1, weakened in 7f Lingfield novice on debut 3 weeks ago and will likely need more time and further.

Expensive breeze-up purchase who shaped very well when 1½ lengths second of 6 in conditions event at Beverley (5f) on debut, but still green in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot a month on. This is easier and he remains capable of better. Leading claims up in trip.

Has shown plenty in 6f events here and at York and can do better as he goes up in trip. Probably vulnerable here.

From a good family for owners and seems sure to learn from his recent debut run at Windsor (6f) when taking keen hold and not knocked about.

£105,000 Mehmas colt out of a winning sprinter and offered plenty to work on without being given an overly hard time in 6f Pontefract novice last month. Should have more to come.

A large field for this valuable maiden and owners Wathnan might hold the key to it with NAVAL LIGHT given the vote over another of their breeze-up purchases High Approval. Karl Burke's charge couldn't land a blow in the Norfolk but had previously made a really promising start at Beverley when finishing strongly and can surely win races. James Doyle takes the ride over High Approval, who is fitted with a tongue tie after another good run at Yarmouth. Yorkshire Puds is another to consider.
