Fitzdares Sprint Series Handicap

Useful dual winner on AW as a 2-y-o in 2021. Good third in competitive Newcastle handicap in April 2022 but not seen again until last of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6f) in September 2023. Absent again since and can only be watched.

Arrives on the back of good runner-up efforts over 6f at Pontefract and Ayr this month. No match for a fast-improving 3-y-o at the latter venue last Monday but he had 16 others behind him. Player off the same mark.

Twelve runs since last win in 2023. 18/1 and blinkered first time, creditable sixth of 13 in handicap at Ascot (6f, firm) 17 days ago. Cheekpieces are the headgear of choice this time.

Fourth win of the year when accounting for 9 rivals at Newmarket (6f, good to soft) 9 days ago, well on top finish. Should remain competitive off 5 lb higher.

Pretty useful at 2 but has a lofty mark as a result and he was last of 5 at Salisbury (6f, good to firm) in his first handicap last month. Eased 4 lb but it doesn't look enough unless first-time cheekpieces spark improvement.

C&D winner. Career best when winning 7-runner handicap (6/4) at Chepstow (6f, good to firm) 26 days ago. Should continue to give a good account.

Winner of 7f Chelmsford maiden on reappearance in May. 7/1, good second of 10 in handicap at Nottingham (6f, good) 23 days ago, arguably deserving of extra credit considering she raced a little away from the main pack. Respected.
