Has multiple third-place finishes in novice hurdles, most recently third of 11 at Bellewstown (9/4) 23 days ago when not helped by a late blunder. Needs to sharpen up jumping to be competitive at this level. Stable also saddle Eternal Echo.

Won a maiden hurdle over this distance at Limerick in April, then finished 4th of 7 in Grade 2 company. Unseated rider in Grade 1 hurdle at Punchestown (100/1) 86 days ago, beaten when hampered at the last. Drops significantly in class and should be more competitive at this novice level.

Well-bred fairly useful winner on Flat for Charlie Appleby. Built on promise of hurdle debut when winning a maiden hurdle at Cork over this distance in May (solid form) before unseating rider when hampered on the Flat 11 days ago. Could yet have more to offer over hurdles.

Won a maiden hurdle at Punchestown in June. Second of 11 in a novice hurdle at Bellewstown (11/10) 23 days ago, going down by half a length to an improver and clear of the rest. Likely to remain competitive.

Won a 6-runner conditions hurdle at Ballinrobe (66/1) 62 days ago, making steady headway after the second last and quickening well. Entitled to improve for all she faces a stiffer test up in distance for this novice contest.

Camelot gelding out of top-class Annie Power. Won sole start in a bumper at Punchestown (1/2) by 9 lengths from 10 runners 51 days ago, bursting clear despite edging left, and looking destined for better things. Looks an exciting prospect on hurdles debut.

Well beaten in both hurdles, most recently when 7th of 11 (250/1) at Bellewstown 23 days ago. Looks to be one for handicaps.

Well-supported when fourth on hurdles debut at Listowel, when undone by her jumping. Latest finished 4th of 10 in flat handicap at Killarney (14/1) 12 days ago when seemingly going through the motions. Of more interest in this sphere but needs jumping improvement to be competitive.

In keeping with his pedigree, DAVY CROCKETT looked destined for better things when winning a Punchestown bumper on debut and he may well be able to make a successful start over hurdles. Eternal Echo made a winning hurdle debut at Cork, travelling well and quickening clear after the last. He remains open to improvement and could be the main danger ahead of Ephesus who drops back to novice company after competing in Graded races.
