Allan Atkinson Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Bumper winner in 2023. Three heavy defeats followed but much more like it when springing a surprise in 7-runner maiden hurdle at Warwick (2m, good) in June. Backed that up when third at Worcester (2m) 18 days ago but it shows he needs more under a penalty.

Big prices and no promise in maiden/novice hurdles in recent months, finishing a remote third at Worcester last time.

Modest AW Flat winner. Well held on hurdle debut in 2023 and easily passed over on this rather belated return to timber.

Three-time winner on the level and translated that ability to hurdles when placed in maiden hurdles around the turn of the year. Arrives fit from some respectable efforts on the level and should prove hard to beat.

Placed both completed starts in points but no short-term promise under Rules when well held in a 2m Hexham novice hurdle last month.

Fair maiden on Flat for Charlie Hills and has taken well to hurdles for new yard, winning a Southwell maiden and Uttoxeter novice this summer (both 2m, good). Double penalty to shoulder but still the obvious threat to Nap Hand.

Modest stayer on the Flat for Joseph Parr. Pulled up on C&D hurdle debut 19 days ago. Can only watch after that.

Best effort in bumpers when fourth of 9 at Uttoxeter 12 days ago but the form is barely modest. Makes hurdle debut.
