C&D winner in heavy ground in the autumn but failed to fire this season, no excuses when 11/1, eighth of 10 in handicap at Carlisle (5.8f, heavy) 15 days ago. Cheekpieces on for first time and they need to spark a revival.

Winner off this mark over 5f last autumn. Not seen to best effect when caught wide last time but did put in some late headway to finish fifth of 8 in handicap at Pontefract (5f, good, 14/1) 12 days ago. Step back up to 6f no problem and has been given a chance by the handicapper.

Latest win at Thirsk in April and has remained competitive from higher marks since, respectable third of 8 in handicap (11/4) at Leicester (7f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Chance if first-time visor can eke out some improvement.

C&D winner had fallen to a mark that she'd previously exploited when landing a 5-runner handicap at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) 8 days ago, always holding on to enhance fine course record there. Has been competitive from higher marks and merits consideration.

C&D winner failed to build on promise of previous run when ninth of 10 in handicap (13/2) at Carlisle (5f, good to soft) 51 days ago. Now tried in another change of headgear following a short break. Leap of faith required.

Hit the frame over 5.5f at Wetherby last month and promised to be suited by the return to 6f but wasn't ideally placed when eighth of 18 in handicap at Thirsk (25/1) 18 days ago. Could be worth another chance.

Forecasts

Emerald Army (13/8), Hidden Verse (5/2), Baby Rover (4/1), Stormy Pearl (9/2), Asadjumeirah (15/2), Deputy (10/1), Holbache (11/1), Happier (12/1), Eldeyaar (16/1), Mission In Malton (40/1)

17:45 Redcar - 20 July 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

HIDDEN VERSE showed improved form under this apprentice jockey when recording a second career success at Chepstow on Thursday and she has solid claims of following up under a penalty. Emerald Army arrives in fine heart and could be the main danger if a first time visor ekes out some improvement, while last time out winner Stormy Pearl should remain competitive from her revised mark.
