3-time C&D winner. Latest win here in May and bounced back to form when creditable third of 7 in handicap (25/1) at Doncaster (10.2f, good to firm) 15 days ago. Cheekpieces back on but looks to be about summed up by his current mark.

Made it 3 wins from his last 4 starts at York last month but found his run of form coming to an abrupt halt when last of 9 in handicap at York (10.2f, good to firm) 8 days ago. May again prove vulnerable from this mark.

Returned with 1m win at Pontefract in April and shaped well when third on couple of subsequent starts. Can have a line put through his last run when very slowly away and should give a good account if breaking on terms.

Latest win at Haydock in April but ran poorly in testing ground (on which he had previous form) when 5/2, last of 6 in handicap at Lingfield (10f, heavy) 42 days ago, beaten 2f out. Remains to be seen if he can bounce back.

Landed a double at Carlisle in June (9f) but well below form over a shorter trip there last month, when possibly unsuited by the testing conditions. Remains on a career high mark but no surprise to see him make more an impact here.

Again ran creditably when creditable sixth of 16 in handicap (12/1) at Carlisle (7.8f, soft) 24 days ago. Shapes as though he will be suited by this return to a longer trip. One to consider.

Lightly-raced 3-y-o showed improvement with each run (finishing second on 2 consecutive starts) prior to being far too free for his own good when sixth of 7 in handicap at Doncaster (10.2f, good to firm, 13/8) 15 days ago. Strong galloping sort could be worth another chance.

C&D winner ran well in this grade at York last month and shaped as if still in form when respectable sixth of 15 in handicap at Carlisle (9f, heavy) 14 days ago. Partnered by a claiming jockey who bagged a winner earlier this week and should go well from this sort of mark.

Steadily improved in maidens, latest when second of 7 in maiden (28/1) at Beverley (8.4f, good to firm) 25 days ago, slowly away. Interesting if market support comes his way on handicap debut.

ELSASS had been on the up prior to pulling away his chance at Doncaster earlier this month. This lightly-raced son of Sottsass is worth another chance and may be able to get off the mark at the expense of previous C&D winner Poet's Dawn who arrives in form and is partnered by a young claiming jockey who bagged a winner earlier this week. His stablemate Leadenhall also makes appeal having been in good heart prior to fluffing the start at York 3 weeks ago.
