Shaped as if retaining all his ability when third in a 25.4f handicap here in May, well suited by the test of stamina. Wasn't seen to best effect in a slowly-run race at Uttoxeter last time. Wears first time cheekpieces and will need conditions to become testing to have a chance at this trip.

4-time winner for Jamie Snowden (including this race off 6 lb lower in 2024). Sold for £14,000 and better than ever for current connections when narrowly denied in a 22f handicap at his track. That effort may have left its mark at Hexham last time but still has a bit to find on these terms.

Latest win came over this C&D (off 7 lb lower) last May but has held his form from higher marks this season, not helped by an untimely blunder when a distant third (finished well behind Go Go Chicago) over C&D last month. Ought to be competitive with tongue strap refitted.

Lightly-raced for his age but has twice been successful from 6 starts and showed improved form when runner-up over C&D (soft) 20 days ago, jumped fluently and rallied well near finish (in front again stride after line). Solid claims again and won't be inconvenience by any rainfall (should stay 3m).

Back to winning ways in a 10-runner handicap at Musselburgh (19.8f) in February but hasn't threatened from higher marks subsequently, failed to improve for the application of a tongue strap (retained) when third over C&D behind Evenwood Sonofagun in May. May need further respite from handicapper.

Landed a hat-trick across both codes last year and has resumed progress this season, nearly landing another hat-trick when a narrow runner-up at Bangor (19.6f) 43 days ago. The one that beat her has let the form down subsequently and while in fine heart, this is much more competitive.

Maiden hurdle winner for Gordon Elliott (sold for only 7,500 gns) but was clearly all wrong when pulled-up on sole outing for Tjade Collier at Aintree in May. Bounced right back to form to make a successful stable debut at Bangor (not the strongest race for the grade). Respected up in trip.

Best run for current connections came when a close third in this race last July though he hasn't shown that sort of form on his most recent hurdles starts, for all he was unsuited by the drop into a competitive 17f handicap here last time. Better off at this trip but has a bit to prove at present.

Second over this C&D last year but off much higher marks now having bagged her third win at Kelso (21f) in March when well suited by a strongly run race. Quickly back to best when third over the same C&D in May, despite finding the trip on the sharp side. Work to do from current mark.

Well handicapped on best form from last season and back to somewhere near that level when runner-up at Hexham (20.1f) in May. Paid the price for a big move out wide when finishing midfield over the same C&D last month but has ran well at Cartmel previously and cannot be totally discounted.

Thrived following a wind op at this course last summer, winning 4 on the bounce. However, has failed to fire so far this year and that's concern given how consistent he was last year. Remains to be seen if a breathing operation to spark a return to form.

Transformed by the refitting of a hood when completing a hat-trick last year and has held her form well, shaping better than her finishing position when fifth in a 15-runner handicap at Musselburgh in March, made eye-catching ground from poor position. Respected if ready to roll after a break.

Won 3 of last 6 starts over hurdles, including a quickfire double over this C&D in May. Lost little in defeat when runner-up to Wudya at Bangor earlier this month (typically travelled well). Bids to maintain a 100% course record and should give a good account.

Course winner (25.4f) has shaped with encouragement on all three starts this season and continues to be given a chance by the handicapper. Needs a test of stamina and could be interesting if significant rain arrives.

Go Go Chicago (11/4), Our Sam (13/2), Al Sayah (15/2), Imperial Data (9/1), Wudya (9/1), Evenwood Sonofagun (10/1), Well Educated (14/1), Harper Valley (14/1), Sea The Clouds (16/1), You Some Girl (16/1), Hurricane Ali (18/1), Wbee (18/1), Starlyte (20/1), City Derby (25/1)

15:22 Cartmel - 19 July 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

GO GO CHICAGO is very low mileage for his age and was better than ever when runner-up over this C&D on soft ground last month. He has solid claims to land a third victory in only 7 starts and may take this at the expense of Wudya who travelled strongly when making a successful stable debut earlier this month and remains of interest stepped up in trip, while Our Sam is capable of winning from this sort of mark and could be dangerous if the ground becomes testing.
