7/4
Point runner-up who boasted a positive profile over hurdles (chased home fairly useful Panjari on second hurdles start) but has been let down by his jumping over fences. Has a 13-month absence to overcome but this yard can ready one following a break and he makes appeal now returned to hurdles.

Useful handicapper at best on Flat (dual winner over 1½m). Shaped as if amiss both starts this season (now tried in a change of headgear) but looks an interesting newcomer to hurdles if retaining his ability.

Went the wrong way in bumpers for Fergal O'Brien and was always behind on hurdling debut (following 5 months off) at Worcester in May. Has plenty of improvement to find.

Has made an encouraging start, second in a Chepstow bumper (travelled for a long way) on final run for Tom George. Subsequently sold for £50,000 and got off the mark on stable debut when landing a course bumper last month, in spite of softer conditions. Has to be respected on hurdle debut.

Ex-Irish hurdler who made a promising start for current yard when runner-up in 2m Bangor maiden. Hasn't bettered that in subsequent starts, latest when faring no better on handicap debut at this track (16.8f). Slightly longer trip should suit but still has a bit to find back in maiden company.

Fairly useful winner on Flat in France for Andre Fabre. Promise in maiden/novice hurdles for new yard (second over C&D in May) prior to being brought down through no fault of his own on handicap debut last month. Was easy to back that day but remains with potential back in a maiden.

An interesting maiden for the time of year and it could pay to take a chance on the returning BREAKING COVER who had some solid form over hurdles prior to being let down by his jumping over fences. He may be able to get back on track over the smaller obstacles and is preferred to Roadshow who has shaped creditably in novice/maiden hurdles this year, while Three Pikes and Ensured both make appeal on their first outing over hurdles.
