4-y-o who was in good form on AW earlier this year, again finding only one too good at Lingfield (10f) in April. Seemed to find the competition a little hot when down the field in class 2 handicap at Epsom (10f) 5 weeks ago and this looks less demanding.

Spring Mile winner at Doncaster (second past post but subsequently promoted) in March and he comes here having not had much go right when fifth of 8 in handicap at Haydock (10.4f) 20 days ago, left poorly placed/met with trouble. Hasn't had many goes at this sort of trip.

Second start for this yard when landing a gamble at Newcastle (10.2f) in May and again ran well for all he couldn't put the race to bed when edged out late on at Lingfield (10f, good to firm) 52 days ago. One to consider from what clearly remains a workable mark.

Sea The Stars colt who didn't need to improve when doubling his tally in 3-runner Lingfield handicap (9f, good to firm) 13 days ago, going from the front and doing it comfortably. Nudged up 4 lb for that but unlikely this 3-y-o has showed all he has to offer yet.

Night of Thunder colt who finished second all 3 starts at 2yrs and put his experience too good use when edging a tight finish in 5-runner maiden at Nottingham (10.2f) on return 37 days ago. Considered now handicapping for all he does appear to lack scope.

Time Test gelding who hails from a stable in rude health and he took his form up a notch with blinkers enlisted when winning 10-runner handicap at Kempton (1m) 16 days ago, keeping on well. Return to further will hold no fears and he's an interesting runner back on turf.

Tasted success 3 times on AW during a busy 2024 campaign and he comes here having returned to form in recent weeks, second of 8 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f) 10 days ago, no match for winner. Can give his running again but likely vulnerable again to less exposed types.

Runner-up in a valuable newcomers' event on debut at Deauville last summer. Best effort since when fourth on handicap bow at Sandown (10f) in April, but well held both subsequent starts, including back there last time.

Made a winning debut in a maiden at Kempton (1m) in December. Folded tamely when last of 6 in 1¼m Yarmouth novice 4 months later and whilst she fared better despite finishing ninth of 10 on handicap debut at Salisbury (9.9f)31 days ago, more is required from this sort of mark.

Forecasts

Ride The Thunder (10/11), Londoner (11/2), Meblesh (13/2), Mighty Boy (8/1), Notimeforchitchat (8/1), Advancing (12/1), Run With It (14/1), Son Of Man (16/1), Tribal Wisdom (20/1), Pearl Eye (28/1), Casa De Salinas (50/1)

16:20 Ascot - 11 July 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

NOTIMEFORCHITCHAT improved further equipped with blinkers and left the impression the return to this longer trip will hold no fears when adding to his tally in good style at Kempton. He earns the vote to defy a 7 lb rise with his yard continuing in very good form. Londoner has good claims and is feared, as is handicap debutant Ride The Thunder. Run With it is another to monitor in blinkers having been gelded since last seen.
