Winner of 4 of his 11 starts over hurdles, but this former point winner made an inauspicious start in this sphere when beaten a long way in a Worcester handicap last month.

Winning Irish pointer who, having signed off 2023/24 campaign with a maiden hurdle success, made the perfect start over fences back from a 7-month absence at Taunton in December. Back on better ground, he doubled his chase tally over 3m here (good) in May and a 4 lb rise is by no means daunting.

Jumped well when opening chase account over this C&D in November and creditable placed efforts in 2 of his 3 starts since returning from a break in April. Eased slightly in class back here and a bold show is anticipated.

Now 7 lb below the mark off which he notched his fourth chase success at Stratford last summer, but he's not the most reliable of types and has failed to fire in 5 starts so far this year, coming home around 17 lengths adrift of Ajp Kingdom at Stratford last time.

Successful at Bangor last June and also runner-up on no less than 7 occasions during 2024. Added to his tally from the front in 3m Ludlow handicap in April, but that race rather fell apart and he predictably came up short off 5 lb higher at Stratford next time.

Flat winner who won 3 times over hurdles for Dr Richard Newland. Finally got the job done in this sphere when readily landing a 4-runner Newton Abbot handicap (25.8f, good to soft) last month and a 4 lb rise needn't debar another bold show from this 9-y-o.

Added to maiden/novice wins when landing a 3m Ascot handicap hurdle in November, but she hasn't shown much spark in 3 subsequent starts, including on chase debut here last month. Sported a first-time hood that day and connections now roll the dice with cheekpieces.

Dual Plumpton winner in 2023/24, but his efforts so far this year have not been at all inspiring.

Got back on track reverted to chasing when a length second to Stans The Man in a 29f Fakenham handicap in May. Finished further behind that rival (beaten around 12 lengths) when third at Stratford next time (hot on the heels of second-placed Ajp Kingdom), but he's one to consider nonetheless.

Got off the mark over fences at Hereford in November, but he hasn't come close to matching that in 3 runs since and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

AJP KINGDOM's two previous visits to this course have resulted in wide-margin, all-the-way victories and Fergal O'Brien's charge is taken to maintain his 100% Uttoxeter record. He is just 3 lb higher than for the the latest of those two wins here, which came in a C&D handicap chase in November, and his latest effort at Stratford was a creditable one. Art of Diplomacy is just about second choice ahead of De Tellers Fortune and My Gift To You.
