Foaled March 29. £17,000 2-y-o, Mehmas filly. Closely related to useful 6f winner Al Karrar and half-sister to 5f-6f winner Good Good Good. Bred to make an impact as a juvenile but is likely to need the experience on debut.

An expensive purchase for this yard and offered something to work with when making late headway to finish fourth of 9 in maiden at Wolverhampton (5.1f) on debut 18 days ago, aided by the strong pace. Could be more to come.

£92,000 2-y-o. Lope Y Fernandez filly. Half-sister to several winners, including 7f winner Dynamic Talent. Dam, 1m winner, closely related to useful winner up to 6f Millbag. One to note in the betting on debut.

Made some appeal on paper but gave way quite tamely when seventh of 8 in maiden at Yarmouth (6f, good to firm) on debut 31 days ago. Will need to step forward markedly.

Only just bettered by a more experienced rival (fairly useful type) when runner-up over 5f on debut, having set the pace in a rather muddling race. Didn't progress upped to 6f at Kempton 24 days ago but should be much closer to form back at 5f.

Mehmas filly. Dam unraced half-sister to high-class sprinter Minzaal (by Mehmas), won Sprint Cup/Gimcrack Stakes. Showed a bit on debut when fourth of 6 in novice at Lingfield (5f, good) on debut 14 days ago. Will need to improve.

Havana Grey filly shaped with some promise on debut when third of 8 in maiden at Salisbury (5f, good to firm) on debut, not knocked about. Again too keen when stepped up to 6f last time (still led on bridle over 2f out) and should be capable of better back at 5f.

Was getting the hang of things late when fifth of 7 in maiden at Newmarket (5f) on debut but hasn't progressed in two subsequent starts, well backed in a lesser race than she had been contesting when third of 8 in maiden at Brighton (6f, soft) 18 days ago. Back to 5f and too soon to write off yet.

Only minor progress from debut run when fourth of 7 in maiden at Ayr (6f, good to firm) 24 days ago, still green off the bridle. May do better in handicaps.

Forecasts

Butterfly Beach (9/4), Madame X (11/4), Palmeira (10/3), Whisperwood (11/2), Diamond Alexander (15/2), Storm Flag (8/1), Luminare (10/1), Lope El Fuego (10/1), Nebrook Star (16/1), Bold Return (33/1), Sunset Strip (40/1)

13:58 Bath - 14 June 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

MADAME X chased home a subsequent listed winner on debut over this trip and although that form needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, she's shown enough to suggest she can win a 5f race of this nature. Palmeira hasn't looked short of speed in her two starts to date and could be a big threat back at the minimum distance, while Butterfly Beach is an interesting newcomer having sold for 470,000 gns as a yearling.
