Kodiac gelding who made his third start in maidens a winning one at Southwell (5f) in November. Off 6 months/had wind op prior to finishing ninth of 22 in a C&D handicap 4 weeks ago but he remains unexposed and that ought to have blown the cobwebs away.

Ripon maiden winner (5f) last spring who failed to progress thereafter but resumed from 6 months off with an encouraging fourth at Thirsk (5f) in April. Not ideally drawn when down the field in 22-runner C&D handicap 28 days ago and not one to write off with blinkers now enlisted.

Put experience to good use when landing cramped odds in 8-runner maiden at Ayr (6f) last month and he bettered that form when a good fifth of 11 in handicap at Haydock (6f, good to firm, 5/1) 20 days ago. Each-way claims from same mark.

Dual 5f winner as a juvenile who took advantage of an easing mark/drop in class when winning 9-runner handicap at Leicester (5f, good to firm, 11/1) 10 days ago, going away at the line. This rates tougher under a penalty but he can't be ruled out.

Better with each run at 2 yrs and, gelded ahead of return, improved again to make a winning handicap debut at Doncaster (5f) in April. Failed to see things out when fifth at Hamilton (6f) 16 days ago and the return to the minimum trip promises to see him in a much better light now.

Fairly useful gelding who ran up to best when third of 10 in maiden at Catterick (6f, good) 14 days ago. Return to handicaps can see him in a better light with the drop back to the minimum trip holding no fears.

Landed an ordinary AW novice on final start at 2 yrs and not disgraced either start since returning the spring, creditable sixth of 14 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good) 16 days ago. Eased 1 lb ahead of this but she'll need to pull out a bit more to take this.

Different proposition upon returning this year, continuing her rapid rate of progress when making it 4 wins from her last 5 starts at Musselburgh (5f) 6 days ago, displaying good early speed and a good attitude under pressure. Well worthy of respect again under a penalty.

Runner-up first 3 starts at up to 6f last year but low-key efforts in 2 starts upon returning, never involved when eighth of 11 in handicap at Haydock (6f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Others arrive with more pressing claims.

Won at Beverley last July and despite being friendless in the market, registered her first success since in 10-runner handicap at Yarmouth (5.2f) 4 weeks ago, making all on near-side rail. Nudged up 6 lb on the back of that and this will require more.

Made the frame all 4 starts at 2 yrs and, having undergone a wind op (also gelded), he's performed well all 3 starts this time round, ridden more patiently than previously when fourth of 22 in handicap at this C&D (good) 28 days ago. Worth considering.

River Boyne filly who had been shaping up well prior to capitalising on the drop in class when opening her account in 8-runner handicap at Redcar (5f, good to firm, 6/5) 18 days ago, holding on gamely. 2 lb rise should see her competitive again.

Lightly-raced maiden. 4/1, showed improved form when second of 9 on handicap debut at Southwell (5f) 13 days ago. Raised 3 lb on the back of that but not taken lightly in the hope she can translate that improvement back to turf.

Fair, 2-time winner at 5f for Karl Burke as a juvenile but she's failed to beat a rival in pair of starts since returning for new yard and she's hard to fancy.

Much improved this season, registering a third career victory when making all at Ripon (6f) in May. Went like the best horse at the weights when third back over that C&D 15 days ago and the speed he shows suggests the demands of this track/trip could be right up his street.

This undoubtedly rates BARMYBLADE's toughest assignment to date but Tim Easterby's charge went easily like the best horse at the weights when third at Ripon (6f) 2 weeks ago and, appealing as the type who will be well suited by this sort of test, he could well represent a spot of value at the foot of the weights. Thriving filly Luna A Inbhir Nis was impressive when going in again at Musselburgh last week and she's feared. Dothan and Cape Sovereign are just a couple of others to consider.
