Twice runner-up at 2 and creditable start to handicap career when sixth of 12 at Sandown (1¼m, good to soft), keeping on after not clear run. Possibly unsuited by firm conditions at Newbury when disappointing up in the class last month. Could have a say back down in grade.

Runner-up behind subsequent winner (third also franked form) on U.K. debut at Chelmsford (10f) but failed to build on that when third in a Nottingham maiden (10f). Will need to step forward from that effort but may yet do better in first time cheekpieces.

Good-looking son of Cracksman was clearly still learning his job when fourth in a 6-runner Newmarket maiden last month, kept on without being given a hard time, finished with running left. Open to improvement now handicapping.

Dual 10f winner on all-weather and proved herself every bit as effective on turf with creditable fifth at Goodwood (10f) following 5 months off and backed that up over a longer trip when runner-up at Kempton (12f) 15 days ago, well positioned but stuck to task well. Should be competitive.

Creditable start to 3-y-o career (having been gelded) when second in a Windsor maiden (10f). Backed that up when runner-up over 12f at Kempton (fourth won subsequently) last month but step forward required on handicap debut.

From the family winner of St Leger winner Hurricane Lane and no surprise to see him produce best effort to date upped in trip when third of 10 in a handicap at Haydock (11.8f)13 days ago. Should continue to progress.

Well-bred sort built on debut when fourth in a 1m Newcastle maiden, the front 3 subsequently proving themselves useful. Still not the finished article when beaten just over 2 lengths in 1m Southwell maiden in February. Since gelded and remains with potential over much longer trip on handicap debut.

Best effort on final qualifying run when shaping like a stayer over 10f at Goodwood 19 days ago, finishing third in an 11-runner novice. Run style suggests that 12f might be with her reach but she'll need to improve to trouble the best of these on handicap debut.

Well backed and shaped better than the result when seventh on handicap debut at Goodwood (10f). Again prominent in the betting when runner-up over longer trip at Wolverhampton (11.5f) 24 days ago, still looked raw. Remains with potential back on turf.

Fair juvenile form in maidens/nurseries and found some improvement on all-weather debut on upped in trip when third of 6 in a handicap at Kempton (12f) 36 days ago, having been well positioned. Could prove vulnerable to more progressive types.

Left behind maiden form over a longer trip on handicap debut when third in an 11-runner Leicester handicap (10f), deserving extra credit having made his challenge sooner than ideal. Could be more to come on first try at 12f (dam stayed 1¾m).

Little impact in maidens but did improve on bare form when sixth of 8 over 10f at Salisbury last month, for all he was a well beaten favourite. Now tried in cheekpieces over 2f longer trip and is bred to stay this far. Not totally dismissed.

Forecasts

Stormy Monday (10/3), Sudu (4/1), Circus Of Rome (5/1), Kingmaker (7/1), San Munoz (15/2), Dangerman (10/1), Desert Shadow (11/1), John T (14/1), Navid (16/1), Lieutenant Lily (20/1), Vilaine Verlaine (25/1), Laplander (33/1)

17:33 Newbury - 12 June 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

SUDU looks interesting on the best of his juvenile form and could be open to plenty of improvement on handicap debut, stepping up markedly in trip (related to a very smart 1½m winner) on first start since a gelding operation. Stormy Monday is from the family of Hurricane Lane and should continue to progress following a career best at Haydock, while Circus of Rome may be seen to better effect now. Of the rest, Dangerman retains plenty of scope to improve now handicapping.
