Lightly-raced winner. 8¼ lengths last of 5 to Delacroix in Derby Trial Stakes at this course (10f, good, 13/2) 25 days ago. These are calmer waters and no surprise were he capable of better still with his smart pedigree an ongoing recommendation.

Galiway colt who confirmed the promise of his debut second when winning 8-runner minor event at Roscommon (10.4f, good) 24 days ago, well on top finish. Appeals as the type to progress further and he's well worth his place at this higher level.

Useful colt. 28/1, 7½ lengths fourth of 5 to Delacroix in Derby Trial Stakes at this course (10f, good) 25 days ago, left behind final 1f. Boasts good claims on these terms on first crack at listed level.

Bred to be smart and looked a good prospect when successful on debut in a Dundalk minor event (1m) in March. Hasn't yet built on that in pair of AW/turf listed contests since and others appeal more on balance.

Useful colt. Winner at Cork in April. Very good 3 lengths second of 7 to Carmers in listed race at Navan (13f, good, 16/1) 19 days ago, keeping on. Continues to steadily go the right way and no reason why he won't give another good account.

Night of Thunder colt who confirmed debut promise and looked better the further he went when winning 5-runner maiden at Cork (10.4f, good) 30 days ago, produced to lead 2f out and forging clear. Longer trip still promises to unlock further progress. Interesting.

Fairly useful form to date and didn't need to be at her best when winning 7-runner maiden (2/1) at Limerick (11.9f, heavy) 41 days ago. More on her plate here however.

Australia filly who left previous efforts in her wake switched to a sounder surface, off the mark in 16-runner maiden at Cork (10.4f, good) 30 days ago, doing better under change of tactics. Step up to 1½m promises to hold no fears and likely she's capable of better again.

Lightly-raced maiden. 5/1, excellent second of 10 in handicap at this C&D (good) 25 days ago, having to pick way through and finishing well. Likely she can progress further on that evidence but this demands another significant step forward if she's to be competitive.

Forecasts

Acapulco Bay (2/1), Zahrann (5/2), Arouet (7/2), Dawn Spirit (10/1), Rock Of Cashel (12/1), What's Your Game (14/1), Nuit (22/1), Titanium Emperor (25/1), Bay Colony (66/1)

17:25 Leopardstown - 5 June 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

ZAHRANN looked better the further he went when impressively opening his account at the second time of asking at Cork 4 weeks ago and, well worth his place at this higher level on that evidence, it would come as no surprise to see him firmly to the fore again. Acapulco Bay, Arouet and Rock of Cashel head up the dangers, in that order.
